  1. The state senator who spoke said it was the biggest rally he'd seen in Trenton.
  2. They still make it???? It was from my dad's closet, he passed 16 years ago, and they were old THEN!! lol The Kleen bore had more flash and smoke than the CCi, but I'm sure the powder recipe was different 40 years ago.
  3. I don't think there's much difference between the 2 grips, and don't forget- there's also magazine extensions for the pinky finger for larger hands (I don't need them). Since the grip is a slip-on, I'm sure there will be after market ones in the future. Unlike the LC9, which is too skinny for me, and no one makes replacement grips for it, just slip-on sleeves... I just ordered some hogue and pachmyr ones to try out on the LC9. But the SR22 feels alot better than the LC9 to me.
  4. Took mine to the range today. This may very well be the funnest gun I own. Feels GREAT in the hand, mags load easily (thanks to a built-in "speedloader" right on the mag, sort of), can rapidfire with complete accuracy, and can do hundreds of rounds w/o getting beat up (can't say the same for my buddy's XDM .45 he just bought). AWESOME gun. I was using 40 year old remington Kleen-bore FMJs and CCI Mini-mags. Not one FTF or FTE. Perfect.
  5. I'm in, bringing another gunner friend along.
  6. New. Didn't ask if he had any more in stock. But I can tell you if they aren't in stock at an FFL, they can't order them, because ruger isn't making them. One FFL told me maybe late spring before ruger starts shipping the next batch.
  7. Yeah, my tinfoil hat is going on, I'm afraid. Not only because of this, but because of the sheer number of shooting since SH. And no- it's NOT just "the media reporting it more". There's something fishy going on.
  8. Got it!! Man Jim's was BUSY... I was 4th in line when I got there, and there were 4 inline behind me when I left. Mostly people picking up pistols. I have to go back when they're not busy to look around the "gun room"... I will definitely buy at Jim's again, he's just a nice OLD (gotta' be 70 at least) man, has great prices. Even had 10 boxes of 7.62x39 Remington which surprised me, but I didn't pick any up because I didn't know what the price was, but being Remington, must have been high. The SR22 feels better than my LC9. $342 out the door, WITH taxes and fees. Still lower than any retail price (WITHOUT taxes and fees) I've seen anywhere locally.
  9. Glock23: No, somebody at Jim flynn's dropped the ball, didn't call in NICS check. I resent info on Tuesday, they said I should be able to pick it up Friday. I'm going to call end of today to check up. It's a little strange, when I called last Friday I offered to give a deposit to hold the gun, they said not neccesary. But then I never heard from them. So when I called back and found out nothing had been done, I verified the gun was still available, and again offered to leave deposit, and again was told not neccesary. So I'm a bit concerned about this whole thing, despite Jim's stellar rep on here. Fingers crossed I get it Friday with no issues.
  10. $1?? I would expect normal transfer fees. Which would be just fine.
  11. I don't see this as relevant at all.... because the anti-gunner argument still stands: "well what if you TURNED bad, what if you WENT ON MEDICATION, what if you WENT POSTAL" etc etc.... because even a legal gun owner, with a legal gun, can commit an illegal act. Bottom line is, they won't be happy until the 2nd Amendment is repealed, either by proper channels (constitutional convention), or improper ones (legislators passing unconstitutional laws, and judges upholding them). Not to mention, even if this became the law of the land, we aren't turning in our 300-milion "dumb" guns. They can go pound sand.
  12. I'll never understand people turning in LEGAL firearms... it just proves to me that the end-game is inevitable. We might be able to slow the car down THIS TIME, but in the end, like everything in society, it's an inevitability. And I'm not being defeatist- I'm just recognizing the trend over the last 100 years, and coming to grips with the fact that the "end game" WILL happen... in my lifetime? Maybe. In this generation's children's lifetimes? Almost assuredly.
  13. Oh, he understands. But YOU need to understand, serf, that he is SMARTER than YOU, SMARTER than the founding fathers, SMARTER than any constitutional attorney or SCOTUS judge that disagrees with him... he's ABOVE all of us. He knows BETTER, you ignorant fool. He is the intelligencia, you are a mere pee-on. What will it take for you to understand that? You'll understand that once we take away your guns and put you on a train, you shouldn't be allowed to reproduce you moron.
  14. Good point on the parking... I was going to ask, hoping those more familiar with Trenton could post some info on public parking available.
  15. These guys are for real- they've done some serious hacking, as retaliation for government acts.
  16. I found out about this a couple days ago, but have been waiting for someone knowledgable for more info... I'd love to hear what Mark Levin or Judge Napolitano (both constitutional attorneys) have to say about it.
  17. I have been out of the "gun thing" for awhile, just got back into it about 9 months ago... and have purchased alot since then. Between the NICS and the 4473, "they" know what you got, and it wouldn't take long to find out if they wanted to. While there is no national registry, per se, with the exception of all the guns before the 4473 and NICS came into being (and of course all the "gun show loophole" guns), they know what we have, or at least THAT we have them. The rest doesn't matter much.
  18. I found one for $295 at Jim Flynn's (just 25min away) , just waiting for NICS to go pick up.
