  1. they don't need to shoot us they already monitor everything we text, type, lookup and watch... They can take us out many other less attention drawing ways. IRS, reputation smear and questionable illegal activity by way of some obscure technicality. An individual with our guns is the least fearful things for the government. What they concentrate on stopping is togetherness, solidarity and our own group think, should we come together and organize they would crush It in seconds.
  2. chargemaster is the best way but you should still have a manual scale to verify the chargemaster setup I believe I use the 10-10-10
  3. reloading components you get more bang for the buck
  4. if it is a snap together laminate It should(read HAS TO) meet or you screwed it up. Once you get into it you will see it is easy. the layout to make sure trim covers your expansion gap without a sliver of a board is the true test.
  5. THE FIREARM WAS AN AIRSOFT GUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Fox News webpage reporting... I can't post the link but if you read the story you will vomit. It happened in Virginia Beach, Virginia. suspended the rest of the year for a "firearms" offense on private property. The school superintendent says his authority extends to private property... BE AFRAID! VERY AFRAID!
  7. If you could find one the XD compact with 5 inch barrel is nice. Compact grip and extension on full size mag makes it either a full size gun or a carry. 13 +1 full mag 9 +1 compact. I have the XDM with 3.8 barrel and absolutely love it but really wanted the other due to longer barrel. XDM has a few upgrades that are nice. Recoil does not feel like a big .45 when shooting
  8. Woild the .50 cal ban be on the bore size of weapon or projectile it shoots. because a sabot bullet is only actually .45
  9. for hunting barnes t ez either 250 or 290 gr with blue sabot and blackhorn 209 powder cci 209 magnum primers will kill almost anything in the USA. for fun range stuff powerbelts or hornady bulk with sabot bulk. You can use pyrodez or triple 7 at the range but I think they do damage to the barrel if not meticulously cleaned right after shooting. the blackhorn 209 powder is more forgiving of cleanliness during regular hunting use where solvent smell or a fired shot may not be immediately available. the hunting set up is expensive but once zeroed you only have to shoot it to check zero and shoot game. The encore was a great long term buy... I love my original encore
  10. Just shot again today went from 1-4 power scope to 3-9 groups tightened up to about 2 inch and I did a quick penetration test. I taped 4 3/4 inch whited oak flooring boards together and shot through them. I will post pictures tonight. It is scary the penetration and destruction. to say 3 inches of solid oak offers no resistance is a gross understatement. As far as I know that bullet went through and may still be going. the entry hole first board little circle. last board a splintered mess with a 2 inch gash. I would not hesitate to go right into the front shoulder
  11. I would recommend a savage .243. Great quality shooter inexpensive, easy to shoot mild recoil, can be loaded up or down to kill anything from prairie dogs to mule deer. one of the most versatile cartridges there is. Plus flat shooting and fun at the range
  12. got a stamped JM marlin cowboy limited to go with my ruger gp100 wood handled revolver. sometimes I just dress up and rub them all over my body and think how awesomely cool I am to have two fantastic guns...LOL. A .357 lever gun is just about as much fun and addicting as a .22 just more expensive. be careful though some are .38 special only
  13. I don't know if you guys are aware but Bass Pro shop is supposed to be breaking ground in atlantic city within a month or so... doesn't help much right now but I am looking forward to site to store shipping. come on future
  14. I have always shot 295 gr powerbelts with 2 pellets of tripl3e 7 or pyrodex out of my T/c Encore. That combo was easy to load and very, very accurate. However, I have some first hand experience with a doe I shot at 40 yards the bullet after penetrating blewup into fragments ... dead doe within 20 yrds. Then I shot a very nice buck at 92 yards penetration was not into the offside ribs there was no expansion very limited to no blood trail buck died within 100 yrds. Shot the barnes spitfire EZ 250 gr with blackhorn 209 loose powder 110gr. The accuracy is the same as powerbelts realistically 5 shot group at 100 yrds 3inch max. Loads about as easy. This load is def more expensive. I am relying on reports, reviews, science and common sense as to the lethality as I haven't shot a deer yet. I am changing my setup for 3 main reasons... 1.) the blackhorn powder is as advertised. less corrosive and more powerful. the triple 7 has actually eatin' my barrel and caused serious corrosive pitting. 2) The powerbelt has done the job but each time I am left feeling it was sufficient but not devastatingly lethal. 3) the new comb is much flatter shooting. My first shot with the new load using my scope set for old load shot perfect left to right but was 14 inches high at 100 yrds. I have no other way to measure trajectory but that's gotta be better.... What say all of you anyone tried the 250 or 290's
  15. Arbelest, Yes I read American sniper first. Both books are written with a flow that makes you picture this guy sitting in your living room telling you a story, rather than just reading a book
  16. Just finished American Guns by Sniper Chris Kyle. It is an excellent read. Lots of backstory to the history of the USA in 10 guns. He elaborates on their origins and derivatives. He also tells entertaining stories about their uses in battle. Some of the stories we know well but he manages a unique fact or twist to it. He also explains the firearms that either preceded or came after the subject gun and the impact in design related to them. Very vivid and flowing writing style makes this a must read for gun guys... I certainly recommend it for the treestand or in between reloading sessions...
  17. gp100 with the wood/rubber grip and change the sights to a fiber optic. A little heavy but nice shooter with the heaviest .357 mag loads or the lightest .38 spl. I love mine
  18. Anyone have info on what aftermarket stocks may fit on this old gun. Action was made in france, gun dates to sometime detween 68 and 73 bought cheap wanted to have fun dressing it up... Internet info is scarce gun is in great shape but I have plenty of regular shotguns... just wanted to mess around with this. I am not really into the whole tactical thing but what the heck
  19. I have a Harrington & Richardson model 440 12ga 3 inch action made in france. Gun dates sometime between 1968 and 1973. Does anyone have any knowledge of this gun. Info on the net is very scarce. Seems worth $125 to 325. I got it very cheap and would like to just have fun with it by dressing it up changing stocks(tactical) lighs, etc. But I'm not sure what replacement stock(s) would fit. metal is in great condition and so is current stock. I just have enough regular shotguns and never really got into the whole Tactical shotgun thing but I guess I could add 1 to the collection just to say I have one... Any info on this gun would be appreciated
  20. Been spending alot of time on this site. Just stumbled upon it.
  21. thanks for the replies. If anyone knows any additional info on these rifles please let me know. I am still undecided on purchase, but thinking yes. Did some research on net and all looks positive. I just get worried about any clear cut issues living in this beautifiul state of NJ. Talked to FFL guy involved he says as long as nj compliant it is fine. A double and triple check is always prudent. Definitely NJ compliant configuration in every other way
