Starting Saiga conversion soon any Suggestions?
carl_g replied to FLHX's topic in AK Variant Discussion
Hey! I am in the same boat. My furinture parts from kvar are coming and I have the trigger group to be ordered this Friday. For mags, I am going the no bullet guide approach and just using 15 round SGM mags. I know that they are more expensive than the surplus ones but while living in this state, I don't feel like dealing with the mag pinning, ect. etc... If I move to a free state, I will then do the bullet guide modification. That's my approach. Good luck! -
Ok one more question. If the brake is pinned, how so you remove the cleaning rod?
-
nice collection!
-
Vini Do you have a measurement or which rib you cut at to make the mag 14rds? Thanks, Carl

Problem with the 5.45's in this state will always be the mags. That being said..I want one of those. Its a good price.

They are claiming that NJ2AS is giving away a illegal firearm in trade for lobbying Christie..unreal how clueless they are. http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ssf/2013/07/nj_group_offers_illegal_gun_in_contest_to_lobby_christie.html#incart_m-rpt-1

Understood.

For me xbox one hands down. Ps4 network fails in comparison to xbox live and now Sony will charge for it.

The superior who called in this raid should be charged. A nightime raid based on a tip from an angry ex-girlfried for a couple pot plants?? Does the nature of the accusation really deserve a navy seal-like raid? They obviously had a search warrant. Couldn't they have watched his house and picked him up when he left and then executed the search?

Hmm.. The statute says: "A threaded barrel capable of accepting a barrel extender, flash suppressor, forward handgrip, or silencer" Is the FSB considered part of the barrel? It is physically a different part.
-
Since the FSB of an AK74 is threaded to accept the muzzle device and NOT the barrel, does the muzzle device still need to be pinned/welded/ect..ect.. to be NJ compliant? Thanks. carl

No 5.45 x39 and the 7.62x39's are gone. I got the last one. Sorry.

you need them to send you a letter to tell you your permits are ready?? Didn't they just tell you that they were done? so crazy. -

I saw that video on youtube. Thanks!

Does it get in the way of the trigger at all?
-
During a conversion do most get rid of or retain the BHO? It looks like a pain to put it back in and also looks like it could get in the way after moving the trigger group forward. I know real AKs dont have one but it seems like it would be a nice feature to have. Thoughts?

Millburn doesnt usually drag their feet too bad. You can always call them. The lady is very nice. -
The Rangers are irrelevant to this topic. Why are talking about those losers again?

Yes. He sucked in the post season, he never lived up to the hype, and his lack of commitment to the team makes him worthless IMO. He should be labeled "The Big Mistake" What a waste of 100 mill.

To me, losing Clarkson is a bigger deal. He has way more heart and leaves it on the ice every game.
