  1. Lol...this reminds me of our 'sticks vs slices' pepperoni roll debate on my WVU forum, lol.
  2. I'm not sure if any of you knew him, but my best friends' father passed away this evening. He was a member at Central Jersey and an avid gun enthusiast. Salvatore DiDia of Jackson, NJ died around 6pm this evening at 55 years of age. From what I've heard, he simply slumped over in his car and passed away...no illness, no warning. He left behind a loving wife, 2 sons and a daughter. If anyone from Central Jersey would like to meet up this Sunday for a 21 gun salute....I'd appreciate it. RIP Sal. You will be greatly missed.
  3. Delco Shooting supply is nice....but they're just south of Philly.
  4. Precisely....that, and call me paranoid, but I also fear being targeted by a thief following me home.
  5. ^This is why I've been hesitant to put any NRA stickers on my car.
  6. The running tin-foil theory behind all this is setting the country up to accept marshal law....
  7. http://www.cga.ct.gov/2013/TOB/S/2013SB-00928-R02-SB.htm Also, felons are prohibited and others may be subject to background checks. WTF?? Treating gold and silver like guns? No person may engage in or carry on the business of purchasing gold or gold-plated ware, silver or silver-plated ware, platinum ware, watches, jewelry, precious stones, bullion or coins unless such person is licensed as a precious metals or stones dealer by the licensing authority of the municipality in which such person intends to carry on such business; except that the provisions of this subsection shall not apply to the purchase of such items from a wholesaler by a manufacturer or retail seller whose primary place of business is located in this state. Such person shall pay an annual fee of ten dollars for such license. The license may be revocable for cause, which shall include, but not be limited to, failure to comply with any requirements for licensure specified by the licensing authority at the time of issuance. The licensing authority shall refuse to issue a license under this subsection to a person who has been convicted of a felony and may require any applicant for a license to submit to state and national criminal history records checks. I saw this on Facebook and it referenced an EO in 1933 requiring all individuals to surrender their gold to the FR in turn for reserve notes (dollars).
  8. So I hear! Gonna have to get me one of those limbsaver recoil pads too. I just hope I don't develop a flinch. I've just gotten pretty good at my bench technique.
  9. Yea, Classic is where I saw it....but that seemed high to me considering I think Sportsman's Guide had it listed for $166. Thanks for that link BLF! Weidner's it is then....$199 for Bulgarian. Now, what the hell I'm going to do with 880 rounds...I don't know. I'm not even sure the damn gun works, lol.
  10. What were prices like on a spam can pre-panic? Best vendor to order from? I've read the Bulgarian surplus is better than the Russian....true? I haven't been able to find a crate in stock other than one site.....and they're asking over $100 per can! Seems way high to me. Also....I've seen ammo tagged "7.62 Mosin"....is that the same thing? Sorry for all the questions....I just realized the gun my brother gave me like 10 years ago is a Mosin. I finally brought it home with me and I want to play with it.
  11. The use of "NJ residents" and "NJ FID" lends me to think the OP is not a NJ resident.
  12. Marlin 1894c .357mag Ruger Stainless Blackhawk .357 revolver Desert Eagle .357mag Ruger 22/45 Mark III AR-10 and some sort of long range bench rest gun
  13. Ugh...how can people eat scrapple? The name alone turns me off.
  14. I grew up hearing it called Taylor Ham as well...never heard of 'pork roll' until I moved to NJ.
  15. As requested. Keep in mind, I don't know anything about these other than a little bit of online research....any info would be appreciated. I suppose my biggest question is the fact it doesn't have an A, B, C barrel marking...what does that mean?
  16. I believe it is a 1941 Finnish M91 with a Tikkakoski barrel. I'll post some more pics when I get home. (It looks exactly like this one)
  17. Lol....at least I have something to shoot while I wait for my 700 Mountain barrel cool. I'll give the JB bore paste a try. What's a good ammo to shoot?
  18. My brother gave me a gun about 10 years ago. It's been at my dad's house this entire time. I finally had him dig it out this weekend while I was home....and it turns out it was a Mosin. The barrel is FOULED in this thing...it's going to take me an hour or so to scrub it out. Any tips? I don't know the first thing about these, but I suppose it's time to learn! I absolutely LOVE the bolt in this gun! I'm willing to bet I can fully rack the bolt in about a half a second.
  19. This is why you reload. 100 yards Remington 700 Mountain SS 7mm-08 Question: Could that 40-50 fps difference in MV be THAT big of a factor?
