  1. 70lb Pitbull. Totally wireless. Very effective.
  2. Yeah, I'm expecting them to drop the endurance pro soon enough. May need to pick up three or four before they go or get totally redesigned into crap.
  3. Never had a more uncomfortable boot as Redwing. I'm a 13EE and their wides suck. Tried them twice and no luck. I've gone through four pair of the Tim Pros. They've all held up at least a year walking on metal grating and climbing ladders. After a year, I get a fresh pair since I get paid for it. I'm sure they'll ruin them sooner or later.
  4. Timberland PRO with Anti-fatigue. Great boot for $150. 12-13 hr days are no big deal with these.
  5. Can't accurately torque them with anti-sieze. Dry, clean threads is all you need
  6. Done long rides many, many times. Never felt the need to document it though. I know I did it. Congrats on the run though.
  7. Read through the whole back and forth thing. Had the same discussion with my dentist recently. He was whining about paying a plumber (in NYC) about $1000 to do a water connection to him spitoon sink on the dental chair. I asked him if I ever argued with his pricing. He said no. Then I asked him if he wired his office, did the plumbing, laid the tiles and installed all his fixtures. He said no. I asked him if he knew how. He again said no. I said I don't know dentistry so I pay you. You don't know masonry, electrical or plumbing so you pay me. What's the problem? He then shut up
  8. Actually, one is in the form of an 'X', the other is a more like an 'I'. One you can easily slip a section of pipe over it to give you more leverage, the other would be a pain to do so. Then there's the two things in your own statement that I underlined. So I guess they aren't 'the same exact thing'.
  9. I agree. Too many people are lazy and use the wrong tool for a job. Dealers and shops are the worst offenders and they are supposed to be the 'pros'. Using hand tools on the overwhelming majority of mechanical work will save you headaches. Not foolish, just fact.
  10. No such thing as a 'hot water heater'. Water heater, yes. Hot water heater, no.
  11. Always thought that people that commit suicide are way past normal thoughts. I would automatically think of the people I would be leaving behind. Their pain. I'd just keep on truckin' till I'd straighten things out. How this doesn't affect their decision shows how selfish their decision is. It must be overwhelming.
  12. To think that grown men act like retards over a game.
  13. Some bitter old man once said - it's a shame youth is wasted on the young. Well, something like that.
  14. Note, I finished my post with stupid right? It meant the previous sentence was ridiculous but yeah, I'm pretty dumb for hyphenating you-tube, YouTube, yOuTuBe. That's the attention span of you guys. Pointing out the importance of the mundane and missing the obvious. Typical? Bush was a waste and so was the 'war'. McCain and Palin were HUGE republican mistakes but them schmucks are stupid too. Crisis caused by greed. No generation has a lock on that. You do know what people say about opinions and anuses right? As for the net, we invented it. Make up something on your own and let the adults play. You're in over your head. Pfffffffffft.
  15. I truly hope he does see that the 'sacrifice' he is making now, does pay off in the long run. It just seems that many do not. I know a few college kids that are so friggin' undecided and of course, since they know it all, you can't tell them crap. I'd give a lot to be able to go back to my college days and actually finish.
  16. The point I'm making is real simple. All that hard work you girls are whining about, us older guys have been doing it twice as long. Some even longer. We've long found out that there no point in complaining. Just go about your business since there's nothing you can do about it.. As for the economic crisis, I'm not a banker, nor did I buy a home that I couldn't afford. The generation before me (hippies) are the 'if it makes us feel good, it must be right' people. The Clintons and folks like those are to blame. Direct your anger that direction. By the way, wasn't it the 'you-tube / facebook crowd', that got him in? Thank you college kids for helping get Obama voted in. Stupid right?
  17. There's no contest since there's no prize. In your case, it sounds like you've gone through some real hardship. Support of family during a difficult time. Self sacrifice. I understand since I've been supporting my family for over 15 years. Most twenty somethings today are whining about stuff that is silly in comparison like what one guy here said 'I had to study real hard to get my degree'. Seems to me that if a person can't see the investment in one self as worth it, they are pitiful. It's for you. Self investment.
  18. Yeah, tell me about how hard it is to live at home with mom and dad as compared to paying for a mortgage or rent so you can house your family. You lose your job, no big deal. I lose my job, I'm on the street with the wife and kids. Lemme guess, you think you understand that. Wrong.
  19. True but to hear 20 year old kids talking about working hard just makes me think 'you just started living and already your whining'.
  20. Nothing like reading about young people whining.....
