    Eagles!!!

Remember.....the Miracle in the Meadowlands? 1978? Where NY snatched defeat from the jaws of victory; allowing a 19-17 WIN? And The Miracle in the New Meadowlands? 2010? Where NY snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and allowed FOUR un-answered TD's in under 8 minutes, including a punt return for a TD by DeSean Jackson as time expired, for a 38-31 WIN? Um....and WHO WON those games??? Nah, Eagles fans don't hate the Giants....they pity them. Eagles fans hate Dallas.
  4. And we'll all be sick as dogs from the temperature swings by Friday.....
  5. Below is a story about someone stopped while open carrying an AR thru a mall in Beaumont, TX. He's been charged with disorderly conduct, according to this article. http://www.12newsnow.com/story/24352754/man-carrying-gun-on-his-back-in-mall-is-charged-with-a-crime Made me wonder if our Patriot is already in Texas...
  6. A mix of both .45 (from my Springfield 1911) and .357 (from my Colt) 50 rounds of .45 shot off-hand, and about 75 rounds of .357, shot 1 and 2 hand; all double action All shot at 25 yards
  7. Bah - just a little fun on the chat net. Twas entertaining AND enlightening
  8. Hmm.......The more I think about it, the more I wonder if our little Texas Troll wasn't a plant...
  9. Last night it was in the negative numbers, Paul.
  10. SUPERCOLD!!!!! In the negative numbers here in the middle of South Jersey - Can't imagine how cold it is up north. Two of four cars wouldn't start-one I can't open the hood (latch is frozen) and one I was able to jump-start from the truck. Bathroom faucets are freezing-up somewhere in the crawlspace under the house, and the oil burner is just runnin along.
  11. I thought the preferred liberal term was "Independent Recollection"...(from the Clinton days)
  12. I think the supermarkets pay the news to do it....fastest way known to clean-out the shelves.

  16. It was in December's American Rifleman: http://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/review-colt-marine-pistol Don't you get the Rifleman?
  17. Oh my.....after looking at those facebook pages, the nuttier folks here look almost normal in comparison....
  18. Just saw the article on face book....this is an interesting question. I used to live in Medford, and there are over 20,000 residents there, and its a popular upscale community...there are many who I know of that are retired from some sort of law enforcement; at the local, state, and federal level, as well as a lot of commercial airline pilots, who are also authorized to carry on the job. It's not out of the question to have 490 carry permits out. I'd actually be surprised if there were that few pistol permission slips issued that year...the number sounds a little low, IMHO. As I also stated on facebook, Its also conceivable for the paper to be completely out to lunch....the most suitable use for the BCT was as fishwrap. It's a terrible newspaper.
  19. Hmmm....THIS is a wonder-9. Forget all that self-loading stuff. Now there's ANOTHER revolver I want..... Semi-autos are a fad, anyway.
  20. I saw somewhere on the net - yeah, I know, "net wisdom" - that it was a common practice with some PD's back in the day for a patrolman, upon making detective, to have the barrel of his issued service revolver cut-down - both as a rite of passage and to be easier to carry concealed in his new role. You might have one of them.
  21. Interesting reading, all! For me, my grandfather was quite the shooter, and introduced me at an early age whenever we went up to visit. My brother and I did a lot of shooting in the basement with his bb gun...he was more of the shooter than I was at that time. Also went out once or twice with the boy scouts. Fast-forward to college...at the time, they had both a rifle and pistol team, and I shot with the pistol team. I still have the team jacket, tho sadly it must have shrunk After graduation, I returned home, started work, and a year later was married. Soon after I purchased a .22 pistol and got a membership at both Crossroads indoor range in Pennsauken (now long gone) and also at Delran Jr. Marksmen. Did a little 3-gun shooting....back when 3-gun meant .22/centerfire/.45 Bullseye pistol...DCM rifle, shotgun, etc etc etc, but along come the kiddies, and the time for shooting gets reduced, as you make room for gymnastics, team sports, girl/boy scouts, and finally High School Marching Band. Several moves later, the children are now older, and I'm back shooting again!
  22. Thanks anyway....I appreciate it. Your comment "Smith and Wesson sold T/C to Remlin" has me worried, tho....we've seen what that conglomerate has done to both Remington AND Marlin.
