  1. I found my hat! Mipafox is right and we need to act now. Let's come up with some ideas on how proceed on a unified front!
  2. If redefining JN is that simple and would give Christie a boost in the 47 free states. We need to make a concerted effort along with the NRA, NJ2AS and all other pro 2A groups to make this known to him and force his hand! How well can he do in a Presidential Election having been the Governor of the state with the worst anti 2A laws in the nation??? If he can change the JN clause, he can use that fact on the stump to garner more free state Republican and independent voters, If now is indeed our best time to act then we must do so NOW! Let's collectively put all our efforts on Christie. He has ambition and he can't win with his current record in the worst 2A state in the nation. Voters who live in the 47 free states will never vote for him for fear of him taking away all states 2A rights and turning the U.S.A. into a giant PRNJ! My tin foil hat just fell off. What the hell was I saying??? I don't remember now! :unknw:
  3. BB gun control: In New Jersey, kids’ rite of passage could mean felony By Perry Chiaramonte Published December 10, 2013FoxNews.com The Red Ryder BB gun was made famous in the 1983 film "A Christmas Story." (Courtesy of Daisy Outdoor Products/Daisy Museum) Not only could you "shoot your eye out, kid," you might also go to jail for owning that BB gun in certain states. New Jersey and other jurisdictions make little or no distinction between Daisy's classic Red Ryder BB gun immortalized in the film "A Christmas Story," and real guns. They must be registered and are subject to the same laws as any firearms. “In all honesty, kids who are charged are looking at mandatory jail time,” said New Jersey attorney William Proetta, adding that under the state’s Graves Act, a conviction could lead to prison time. “The only defense is to request a waiver but if that’s not granted, young kids can get a felony charge and their lives are basically over.” “In all honesty, kids who are charged are looking at mandatory jail time.” - William Proetta, New Jersey attorney Virginia, which treats the rite-of-passage toys as firearms if they are used during criminal conduct, and other municipalities also heavily regulate BB guns. But New Jersey goes the farthest, according to Proetta. New Jersey's strict Graves Act gun law covers possession of a BB gun right alongside serious gun control measures outlawing sawed-off shotguns, filing serial numbers off of guns or using firearms to commit crimes. Violating the act can bring a minimum three-year prison term and steep fines. And the law is enforced. As recently as October, a man was arrested in New Jersey for shooting an airsoft gun at a rubber duck for target practice, in his own yard. Idyriss Thomas, 22, was arrested in Glassboro, N.J., after police responded to multiple 911 calls from neighbors who reported seeing a man with a gun. Once police determined the gun was unlicensed, Thomas was taken to jail and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon. His family posted a $2,500 bond. "I didn't realize that what I had in my hand would cause the events that happened today,” Thomas told Philadelphia's WPVI. “I had the airsoft gun in my hand, playing with it, taking shots at a rubber ducky - not harming anybody." Proetta said that depending which county in New Jersey a hearing is held in, a judge will issue a waiver on the Graves Act, or allow charges to be downgraded. But they don't have to. “Courts will work closely on each case,” Proetta said. “But in a few counties like you could face some serious charges.” A spokesperson for Rogers, Ark.,-based Daisy, told FoxNews.com that while the company disagrees with BB gun regulations like that seen in New Jersey, the company makes every effort to uphold the law. "In our opinion and the federal government's, our products are not firearms as there is no combustion in the chamber," Daisy spokesman Joe Murfin said. "While we disagree, we respect a state's law for whatever reason they may have one."
  4. There was no wear to show it was fired much. With the Trijicon Reflex sight and mount and the Surefire light with grip and all the other extras I could find and priced on the net. It has at least $1,500.00 in add on toys in addition to the value of the rifle which is in near mint condition. The dealer told me $1,600.00 was a very fair price. But what do I know? perhaps I did get ripped off on this one. Bob Viden has been around a long time and I trusted that I would get a fair deal from his shop. I could have been mistaken.
  5. I did not get the original box and no # on the black case. I did call bushmaster with the serial # and they said it was made in 2008, has a chromed barrel and shipped originally to a gun shop in Elmer NJ. What else would the 5 digit # tell us???
  6. I don't understand what you are asking for. I saw no sticker on the hard plastic Bushmaster case and the gun did not come in a box.
  7. https://www.dropbox.com/s/cilvjsdu1368dxj/2.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/lq49t5135kv9vkv/1.JPG I have not not yet figured out how to post pics here yet. Here are two links to pics in my drop box.
  8. No, Bob's Little Sport Shop. It's fully loaded with a Trijicon reflex site and many other top of the line extras. I hope I did not get ripped off. I can post a picture. I would welcome any advice if any of you think I payed more than it's worth! I know little about the AR's so I welcome your input.
  9. Heck, Half would be $805.00 and that was for a used rifle!
  10. Mine is way cooler looking than that thing! and the serial # ends with 666. One thing I DON'T like about the rifle!
  11. Actually, it is an XM15-E2S and it sure looks like an assault rifle.
  12. I just purchased a Bushmaster A4 from a South Jersey gun shop. Per the list below that I found on this forum. "Bushmaster assault rifle" is listed as banned! I this is true, How could they sell it in NJ???? It also has a fore grip that is part of a Surefire light setup. Is this also legal or is the fore grip considered as another bad "feature"? Thanks for your advice. "Assault firearms" means: 1. 13. I sent the text below to every Assembly person on the new committee. Dear Assembly Member, In a stunning display of disregard for the rule of law, on June 6th Democrats halted a roll call vote-in-progress on this bill in the Assembly Law & Public Safety Committee, when it became apparent that they did not have enough votes to pass the bill. Rather than complete the roll call as required by legislative rules, chaos and confusion ensued as the committee chairman and staffers simply stopped the vote and huddled in an adjacent room before announcing that they would ignore the vote and "hold” the bill. Republican members of the committee protested the unlawful procedure and argued with the chairman. I am a law abiding citizen of the State of New Jersey. I am also an active voter in all elections. Please read the laws of the State of New Jersey before you cast your vote as it would clearly be an illegal vote. Your actions, should you proceed with this vote, will be unlawful. The results will be challenged and hopefully, those who participated in the unlawful vote will pay dearly in the next election. If you decide to vote knowing that procedure has been ignored, I ask that you vote NO! Best Regards, John W. Brisbin Jr. Woodbury, NJ
  14. The one I filled out was for Stratford, NJ (Camden County). If this were a new state requirement, All counties would be making the same request. This proves that some jurisdictions are adding their own additional requirements in violation of PRNJ statutes.
  15. I just filled one out for a friend 2 days ago........No Notary requested or needed.......Must be a local PD trying to bend the rules!
  16. I have looked into this. Absolutely NOT legal in the P.R.N.J.
  17. If I am not mistaken, the folding stock will also have a pistol grip as part of it's design. That means two evil features right out of the box.
  18. Sad but true! Governor Christie are you listening??? Do you care about the law abiding citizens who are leaving this state in droves due to it's ignorance and undermining of our God and Forefather given 2nd amendment rights in the Constitution of the United States of America??? You alone can make a change. Defend the very Constitution you swore to defend upon taking office, and include the Second Amendment! I don't know what your future political aspirations are, but I for one will cast any future vote for you based on how well you upheld my 2nd amendment rights here and now in New Jersey! This state, as well as the entire nation is watching. The future of this state and your political future is waiting for an answer! What say ye?
  19. LMAO Because he i so sadly right!!!! No slingshots! Also no mace or pepper spray for a woman to use against a potential rapist. Tasers are also illegal and you need a permit to buy a BB gun. This State is out of control and I want to change it by putting people with common sense in political office.
  20. You make a very good point Donato! The fact that there is no Presidential election this year historically makes for a low turnout. The pro 2nd amendment voters, afraid of loosing their guns or further restrictions on the same will be motivated to go out and vote out the anti gunners. The anti gunners may have an opinion that shows up in polls, but, for the most part, this alone is not enough motivation to get them to go out and vote. Those who back Obama and the mostly Democratic anti 2nd amendment politicians that want to ban so called "assault weapons" are generally the least informed, least educated and will vote Democrat just to keep their Obamaphones! They will for the most part, not be voting en mass this November. If everyone here follows your advice, we could make a change. I for one, will make sure that all of my like minded family and friends vote in November. I will throw an all day party at my house for all of my Democrat friends with plenty of booze so they forget to vote! Just kidding about the party. I take our 2nd amendment rights very seriously though and I will follow your model as I truly believe we do have a chance, perhaps our last chance, to make a change in New Jersey!
