It's hilarious how we can have these in NJ, but an AR with a flash hider is too scary. Awesome pick up, OP.

Just so you know, the Micro X95 will not be available for civilian sales. The regular X95 is the only variant that will be available. The X95 trigger is lighter that the Tavor trigger. And the X95 trigger is backwards compatible with the Tavor trigger, so aftermarket triggers should be interchangeable.

Bill introduced in NJ to repeal front license plate requirement
bl@ckvr4 replied to a topic in General Discussion
I'd rather pay the $54 ticket once every couple of years than put a front plate on my car. -
That is an absolutely excellent reason.
-
When I see the abbreviation BBL I assume it stands for bull barrel.
-
If you were going to go through the work, why not get the 16.5 Tavor instead ?
-
Excellent entry level rifle. The NJ compliant models (bull barrel) are LOUD!
-
Sorry guys. I have one other question. Were there any issues with an NJ FFL ordering a non compliant Tavor? Or would it be better to have all the compliance stuff done in PA?
-
I'm 15 minutes outside of Philly so Bangers seems like a pretty good choice. I'm still unsure of what device to put on. I was thinking this: http://www.griffinarmament.com/M4SD-5-56-Tactical-Compensator-1-2x28-p/xhp556tc.htm Suggestions?

Where did you guys get your compliance work done? I'm in the South Jersey area and I would hope to find a place close to home that could pin and weld a muzzle brake. Would prefer it to be an FFL so it will be a one stop shop (transfer and compliance work) afair. Thanks!

I think it is significant because it was the only weapon platform that I can think of that was designed from the ground up to be an offensive platform versus a defensive one. Not to mention its performance in various torture tests and its inability to die. Besides, it's never clarified what they mean by "best" handgun. If we are talking about most influential guns, then you have to mention the VP70 because it pioneered the polymer frame and striker mechanisms. The gun wasn't particularly good, but it influenced modern handguns in a big way.

The Mark 23 needs to be on the list, I'd say.

2 members of Virginia TV news crew shot dead during live broadcast

There was also a recording of the live broadcast. When the camera is dropped you get a pretty clear view of the gunman. -

That's true. Didn't consider possible malfunction from dropping a heavy camera. -

For your consideration, folks. I can confirm since I have seen both videos before they were editted/taken down. He was definitely wearing a blue shirt in the first person video and a black shirt in the live broadcast. -
In regards to the Tavor, are we able to purchase the 16.5" Versions and have the A2 birdcage replaced with a brake + pin and weld? The NJ compliant 18" versions make me vomit.

Why is no one covering the NFA and 922 cases?
bl@ckvr4 replied to bl@ckvr4's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
You are right. There are folks that want the registry to stay closed. However, they are a very small group. I'd say the about 40% of all pre-86 MG owners want the registry to stay closed. I'd say if you combine the folks that own MGs that do want the registry to reopen with the folks that want to own MGs at a reasonable price, I think you have a very vocal majority of folks. -

Here's a update for those folks that haven't been following this. The funding campaign for this was so successful, that the Heller Foundation is now on board. https://hellerfoundation.org/hvh/ My fingers are crossed so hard they might snap in two. A reopening of the MG registry would be so awesome, I could cry. I'm dreaming of a select fire PS90 with a form 1. -
Both. But I still want to hang on to a few of my own curved 15/20s. That said, I would like to trade one black curved 15/20 with a ranger plate for one of your FDE straight 15/20s. As for Krdshrk, I would like to trade two black curved 15/20s (one with a ranger plate and one without) for two of your straight black 15/20s( one with a ranger plate and one without). Let me know if this is okay with your guys. Also, if you guys agree on sending them via mail, I can send mine out first since I haven't been a member on this site for as long as you guys have.
-
How would you propose a trade? I'm in south Jersey. Seems like you are quite a distance from me. How do you feel about sending them via mail?
-
I have black curved 15/20s. Some of the have ranger plates on them though.
-
If you have a straight one, in black, I am interested.

Is the XM855 legal in / sold in NJ?
bl@ckvr4 replied to Bushmaster1313's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
Yes, XM855 is legal. You can buy it at any outdoor/sporting goods store that sells firearms. Provided you can find any after the panic, that is.
