  1. yep you probably have sasquash hands. I don't have that luxury. I prefer my 19 or 17 for the range. I have to say my 27 is way better with the extended mag, but still very snappy for a small frame gun. The 27 is the only glock I own in .40, I have two sigs in .40 also and they are much smoother to shoot. Granted they are both larger frames. The only time I take the 27 is for my CCW outside NJ. Its great to carry, easy to hide, and has stopping power witch is important. I'm not afraid to shoot it, I just own other guns that to me are more enjoyable to fire. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  2. I have one also. I agree with Vlad, not fun at the range, but great gun to trust your life with. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  3. Anything with Mathew McConahay sux, except Dazed & Confused. I'm so sick of seeing that dude in chick flicks.... Sent using Tapatalk 2
  4. The gen 4 grip feels nicer than my gen 3 grip. The checking pattern is slightly different. Also the mag release button on the gen 4 is bigger and more easily reached by a short thumb or smaller hand. Think I posted that earlier in this thread but dont remember. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  5. Ive got a gen3 27. It tries to jump out of my hand when I shoot it. Better with the extended mag though. If you go to RTSP In Randolph, ( think I still have a few guest passes) I'll let you shoot it if you want. The gen4 isn't much different other than double spring, the grip pattern, and the mag release button is bigger. Im 130lbs 5'6" that gun with stock magazine is hard for my little hand to hold on target between shots. 11 rd mag gives me a little more leverage with my pinky. I even tried holding the gun with my left hand holding the front of the trigger guard down and it didn't help me. I should have got a 26 instead. I love my 17 and 19. And I actually hate glocks I used to think they were cool until I bought a Sig. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  6. I liked it better after I could appreciate Dave Chappell. But when it first came out I hated it, left the theater and asked for my money back. Pineapple Express is a much better stoner movie IMO and im not big on stoner movies. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  7. I'm on private property (farm) in Mendham, no one is coming through there except me. Unless they want to be prosecuted lol... I usually ware an Orange hat till in my stand just incase. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  8. Would be ironic if since everyone knows who she is now due to her own stupidity. And since she has been fired from her job, & doubtful she will ever find work in the same field again. She can now only find a job working at a Dunkin Donuts As a cashier with her "business degree." what an ugly person she is. I was embarrassed for her watching her rant. Who treats people that way? She is so dumb, she didn't even edit the parts of the video that make her look like a total idiot & racist b4 posting. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  9. Unlimited doe in my zone Sept- mid February. My freezer is always full. Wont find me in the meat isle at the shoprite, except for chicken occasionally. Its been a while since I killed a deer with a gun. I prefer the bow or xbow for deer myself. I even use the bow during six day firearm, since they started allowing it. If I dont take the bow its Muzzle loader instead. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  10. anyone else here share this thought? The media in many ways has changed the way people act. I was born in the late 70's. As a kid I remember having 12 channels before cable was even available where we lived. (I Want My MTV!) If you wanted the news you went to the front porch and brought the paper inside and read it. Or waited till the 6 o'clock or 10 o'clock news came on. It was an hour long. They had no time to share their individual opinions with us, just the facts that what the news is supposed to give us, right? So here comes the cable news channels 24-7-365. Well now they have all day and night to fill instead of two hours a day. What do they fill it with? Facts? News? Whats really happening? No they fill it with 30 min of news and 24.5 hours of opinion (mostly extremely liberal left wing) and other garbage. Thanks but ill take the facts and formulate my own opinion. Unfortunately many Americans have allowed the media to think for them these days. Very sad to me. IMO is what has changed the way society thinks. And has a lot to do with why times are so different between the 60's and now. People are afraid to let their fat, lazy, disrespectful, disobedient, video game vegging, anti bullying, brats out of the house to enjoy a normal childhood. There aren't any more crazys out there now then there were when I was a kid. Just more media hype about it, to scare the crap out of people. Why because they have nothing better to talk about for an entire day. When i was a kid our parents kicked us outside to play alone, "dont talk to strangers" worked for me. You knew if your parents found out you did talk to a stranger your ass was grass. Kids dont have that fear of parents any longer. The only way to change things is to start with the next generation, if we screw that up its hopeless for us & them. Here is a song from that past era people raising children should listen to.
  11. Welcome to the forum. I used guns for hire for my Utah, nothing bad to say. Great course. Definitely Taylor ham! Sent using Tapatalk 2
  12. I would love to vote for Buono and move out of state the next day, as a big FU to the state. But that wouldn't be fair to all of you here. Or to the other real American constitutionalists that also reside here. Unfortunately with a NJ master plumbers license where else can I work? For me to move out of state and work somewhere else I would have to learn a completely different code and take that states test. Oh and move my business to a state where I know no one and have zero customer base. I refuse to go to work for someone at this point in my life. So im basically screwed and stuck here. Until I either retire or hit the lottery. FML Sent using Tapatalk 2
  13. having read the law that is what im going with also. I don't care what anyone says. The law clearly states 3/4oz container. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  14. Ok I just asked the guy I know who works there and this is what he told me "IT is made by the company named mace, but it is pepper spray." I then asked him if pepper spray was legal in containers larger than 3/4oz This is what he said back " as far as I know it is, we wouldn't sell it if it was illegal" Sent using Tapatalk 2
  15. The Roxbury store sells it also. I was there today saw it and thought the same thing as the OP of this thread. I have a friend who works the gun counter there I'm going to ask him about it. He is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to firearms law and weaponry. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  16. RTSP in Randolph, from what ive heard there are no age restrictions. I'm a member next time I go ill ask the guys there what if any restrictions they have on kids and age. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  17. Time bandits was awesome when I was like 6/7 years old lol. I remember watching it on cable as a kid when the cable box had a slide thing you had to move to change the channel. Now I've dated myself. Dark Crystal was cool around the same time. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  18. The Blair Witch Project! They sold the trailer on TV with so much hype you had to see it. What a gyp once you did! Also Wes Craven's New Nightmare. Another one I walked out of the theater on. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  19. I wouldn't want to be shot with birdshot from 6' away. Ive seen the results from 40 yards away on a bird, one pellet in the right place = dead bird. At 6' = dead zombie. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  20. with an 18" barrel on that 870 and 00 buck 2-3/4" or 3" shell's, if you point at a doorway everything in that doorway is dead. I keep my home defense 12g loaded with heavy bird shot for the first 2 shells then 000 3" buck after that. Buckshot can easily travel through walls into rooms with my family in them. Bird shot at close range is deadly but not as likely to go through as much or as far as buckshot. Not just that but with a pistol grip on my 500 buckshot hurts my hand when I shoot it. 3" #4 nitro mags or heavy dove is a little more forgiving. First rule in hunting with a firearm is "know your target and beyond" same rules apply in home defense. 00 buck can go through sheetrock, sheathing, siding, and into your neighbors house or windows. Bird shot probably can also but less likely to kill someone innocent at a longer distance after traveling through obstacles. Just my .02 Sent using Tapatalk 2
  21. Half Baked, walked out of the theater a third of the way into the movie and asked for a refund. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  22. Only problem with that idea, is even the act of transporting a non Jersey compliant firearm to New Jersey is a felonious act if your caught. It must be converted before it enters the state. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  23. Anything you point at inside your house you should have no trouble hitting. Range shouldn't matter on a home defense shotgun. Its only intent and purpose is in the name "home defense". You're probably never going to use it outside the home for hunting purposes, and if you did I wouldn't imagine much success at more than 35 to 40 yards with an open choke and 18" barrel. If your looking for more distance and improved accuracy out of that 870 pick yourself up a 28" barrel. You can swap back to the 18 once you get home. Sent using Tapatalk 2
  24. I shot that 500 once, emptied the wheel 5 rounds and have no desire to ever put my hand through that again if I don't have to. Reason I bought it was possibly an Alaska trip one day and I wanted a show stopper for Brown bear. Ive thought about a Taurus 454. Its not far behind the 500 in power and a little easier to handle.
