I am. most of the time the afg will be on it. bipod is mostly for sighting in and trying to shoot long range

Under current NJ law a thumbhole or skeleton stock is legal. That's not the reason to not buy it. The saiga 12 is better

Until NJ gets on top of the loophole a skeleton stock is not a pistol grip. That's legal. I'd still spend the extra on a saiga 12 as well.

I made a stupid late night impulse buy of some 5 buck Afghan head wraps. .... . So since they are just laying in my room not doing anything I wrapped it around my AK buttstock. I don't have an issue with the recoil at all but some of my female friends and older family members can't handle the metal butt plate on their shoulder. I know I can get an ugly rubber recoil pad but I thought this might work. Anyone see any issues with shooting with this wrapped buttstock? I don't want to be unsafe . thanks.
