  1. Ok, serious face on now! :sclerosis: Its political business as usual with this bullshit. Make up some tough on crime sounding bill, and watch the votes roll in from the uninformed public come election time. Nothing new.
  2. And while were at it, I don't like spicy food. It makes my tummy sad. Better get rid of that too, since otherwise there is no stopping me from blowing up my toilet on a regular basis.
  3. I'm sure they will be far too busy trying to figure out how many rounds they can legally have in their magazines during a rampage, that they will not even have time to even consider the body armor. Just in case, we better pass this into law, that way they will be forced to comply. I mean who would even think of having illegal mags and illegal body armor, on a perfectly legal rampage
  4. I have never been to this place, or had any interaction with them. But, seeing how this is the second time this has happened, and the abundance of negative experiences from multiple sources, I wouldn't want to take a chance on them if they ever do reopen. I don't think this is negativity or bitterness. I think its just common sense. While its true we don't want another gun shop to close in NJ, I would rather use my purchases to help out a store doing business the right way, than give my money to one that most likely won't make it because of bad business practices.
  5. It looks like someone (County Public Works maybe?) is emptying the trash barrels there. I'm sure if you left the bags in a neat pile by the barrels, whoever is emptying the barrels would pick up the bags. If not, I will stop by there the beginning of the following week with my work truck. If I see the bags I will take them to my dumpster.
  6. I am not disagreeing with you, because I am sure there are a lot of people who think that way. But, I think the majority of these jerks just don't give a f**k at all. Tax dollars or not, they just don't care.
  7. They shouldn't. We should all be adults and pick up after ourselves. I wish I had the time to organize a regular cleanup effort. I just know that with my schedule the way it currently is, I do not have the time to be an organizer, but would be more than able to be a participant.
  8. Guys, thanks for the praise, but it is not necessary. I just wish there were resources to have a conservation officer there at all times, to bust scumbags like this. I know, I know, this will never happen, but it would be nice. Dajonga, I would be very interested in helping out as a volunteer. If something like this exists, or gets set up, please let me know. I don't know about all of you, but it took me no more than 5 minutes to clean up all of my group's shells and trash when we went there. We just bring a yard rake, a snow shovel, and a trash bag. 5 minutes of "hard" labor is well worth not having to pay to go to a private range.
  9. I just started shooting here and had a few questions for anyone who would know. The first 2 times I went to the site it was fairly kept up and clean of trash and debris. This was 3 weeks ago, and 2 weeks ago. I went there this past Friday, and the place was a disaster. Mountains of shells all over the place, beer cans everywhere. Shot up trash all over the clay field. Looks like 8 to 10 different groups of shooters went there in the week and just did whatever they pleased. Does anyone know if someone takes care of this place on a regular basis? The City, County, State? If so, how often? I heard from a local that there was a volunteer cleanup effort every so often, but couldn't find anything out about it. Is there a regular meet up for this? I was in my work truck when I went there on Friday and just happened to have a rake, shovel, and a trash bag. For what its worth I raked out all of the trash and shells ( a whole 55 gallon trash bag of just used shells!), and took them to the dumpster at my shop. I just couldn't leave the place looking like that. Is this what the place is usually like?
  10. Guys, it was simply a joke. I think you either took it a little too seriously, or I might not have said it in a humorous way. Regardless, there is no need to read into it any more than me trying to make a few of you laugh. I hope everyone who is legally entitled to their firearms gets them back quickly and uneventfully.
  11. Yep, they are going to assist you all right. Right into the back of a cruiser.
  12. I can confirm the above from intercooler and JT.
  13. No offense, but every time I hear stuff like - "My friend's barber's girlfriend's cleaning lady told me that .......", I tend to be skeptical. Not calling you a liar or anything, but how can you trust (and then repeat) such dubious information?
  14. I understand what you are saying. However, name one pro 2A bill that has a chance of passing right now? As things sit, things are going backward, not forward. Nothing has a chance at this moment. I don't expect something this big to pass under the current thinking in this state, but if we don't start somewhere, well never get anywhere. And if we are going to ask for stuff, ask for it all and see what we get. Right now, any win, no matter how small, is huge for us. If we get behind this thing and push a little, it will encourage more bills to be written, and more people to take notice. Its the first step up this mountain of shit were under.
  15. Guys, maybe we should get behind this. We haven't had a pro 2A win in NJ ever, and a little offence is a great change of pace. Regardless if it goes anywhere, this could be a great public awareness tool, that may get a couple legislators talking. Who knows? We may not get everything in the bill, but if we got anything at all, even publicity, it will be a win we haven't had in a long time. This could get the ball rolling for bigger things. I'm sick and tired of the "Let's wait for someone else (SCOTUS, the NRA, Superman) to fix NJ's problems" approach. We need to clean up our own mess, and stand up to our own effed up NJ system. It is painfully clear no one is coming to our rescue, so we need to rescue ourselves from this disaster. Why not have this move by MPC be the starting point for our offence against the gun grabbers? Who's with me? How about everybody calls or emails their legislator on Monday and asks them to take a look at this bill, and support MPC.
  16. Guess what? Unfortunately, you are 100% right as well.
  17. Unfortunately, you are 100% right. Unless we do something about it, and stop being on the defensive all the time, we are slowly going to lose all of our rights.
  18. I like that. I'm flying it at half tomorrow.
  19. I am not surprised, but extremely disappointed in the outcome today. Being from NJ told me to not get my hopes up, but being an American told me that anything is possible and justice will prevail. I just lost my faith in truth, justice, and the American way.
  20. I am hoping they hear it, but we have been screwed so many times over I wouldn't be surprised if they don't. I guess we will find out in the A.M.
