  1. Use a stall instead (carefully)?
  2. Why is the prosecutor even involved here? Damn, this is frustrating...
  3. Too bad we don't have any real transparency. I am at about ~30 days now at Mercer court. Figure I'll give it a few more and then drop SF a note, not that I expect anything to change quickly.
  4. Summary from ARFCOM: This may be easier to read from today's opinion: ACCORDINGLY, it is ORDERED that Defendant Hochul is DISMISSED from this action as a party; and it is further ORDERED that Plaintiffs’ motion for a Preliminary Injunction (Dkt. No. 6) is GRANTED in part and DENIED in part in accordance with this Decision; and it is further ORDERED that Defendants, as well as their officers, agents, servants, employees, and attorneys (and any other persons who are in active concert or participation with them) are PRELIMINARILY ENJOINED from enforcing the following provisions of the Concealed Carry Improvement Act, 2022 N.Y. Sess. Laws ch. 371 (“CCIA”): (1) the following provisions contained in Section 1 of the CCIA: (a) the provision requiring “good moral character”; (b) the provision requiring the “names and contact information for the applicant’s current spouse, or domestic partner, any other adults residing in the applicant's home, including any adult children of the applicant, and whether or not there are minors residing, full time or part time, in the applicant’s home”; (c) the provision requiring “a list of former and current social media accounts of the applicant from the past three years”; and (d) the provision contained in Section 1 of the CCIA requiring “such other information required by review of the licensing application that is reasonably necessary and related to the review of the licensing application”; (2) the following “sensitive locations” provision contained in Section 4 of the CCIA: (a) “any location providing . . . behavioral health, or chemical dependance care or services” (except to places to which the public or a substantial group of persons have not been granted access) as contained in Paragraph “2(b)”; (b) “any place of worship or religious observation” as contained in Paragraph “2(c)”; (c) “public parks, and zoos” as contained in Paragraph “2(d)”; (d) “airports” to the extent the license holder is complying with federal regulations, and “buses” as contained in Paragraph “2(n)”; (e) “any establishment issued a license for on-premise consumption pursuant to article four, four-A, five, or six of the alcoholic beverage control law where alcohol is consumed” as contained in Paragraph “2(o)”; (f) “theaters,” “conference centers,” and “banquet halls” as contained in Paragraph “2(p)”; and (g) “any gathering of individuals to collectively express their constitutional rights to protest or assemble” as contained in Paragraph “2(s)”; and (3) the “restricted locations” provision contained in Section 5 of the CCIA; and it is further ORDERED that Plaintiffs are EXCUSED from giving security; and it is further ORDERED that the State Defendants’ request for a limitation in the scope of this Preliminary Injunction and for a stay of it pending appeal (Dkt. No. 48, at 115-16) is DENIED.
  5. Well that sucks. Mine probably made it there a month later... Have you notified ANJRPC StrikeForce?
  6. Maybe I am missing something here... don't think I've seen a true Level 2 IWB holster. I can't pull off an OWB under the shirt, at least at 3 o-clock. Anyone have specific examples?
  7. Appreciate the affirmation. Just frustrated at how long things are taking, the lack of transparency, etc.
  8. Thanks for posting. Now I am back to being unhappy. My app went to the same court about 2 weeks ago. Guessing it's still going to be awhile. My money order hasn't been cashed yet either. Have you notified ANJRPC Strike Force as they are well over 30 days at the court phase? Sounded like there was a Christie-appointed judge handling permits now. Maybe he/she is just overwhelmed (not that that is an acceptable excuse)? Anyone else have any inside baseball on Mercer? Who did you contact at the court regarding status?
  9. Yup, but maybe with all the people applying for permits, the numbers go a lot higher this time. I probably agree with you in general but I will still try to preempt every time.
  10. I just hit them all from my personal email. I hope everyone here did too. I will also hit them via the NRA link.
  11. The latest GFH podcast mentioned that the first two permits were issued in Mercer County. Also, the latest map above from @Krdshrk shows them as unrestricted too (though HGs listed, which I am not sure what to make of), which would be awesome.
  12. Where's my Gomer Pyle meme? Can't say I am surprised at all here, especially given the shenanigans by the CDC in recent years on the same topic. We're from the government and here to obfuscate! Thanks for posting.
  13. Curious, where did you hear that Mercer issued its first permit? My app went to the Mercer county court this week (in theory). The township said they would let me know when it comes back but if things get to ~40 days I will be calling the court for an update and potentially contacting the ANJRPC StrikeForce.
  14. GOA is on it. https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/gun-owners-of-america-sues-to-block-philadelphia-mayors-illegal-recreation-facilities-gun-ban/
  15. Thanks. I saw that thread but it seems geared toward carry/usage insurance, not theft/loss/etc.
  16. Looking for opinions on insurance for firearms. Most home/rental policies don't cover very much. NRA's website links through to Lockton Affinity and they seem pretty reasonable. A few other hits come up in an internet search but otherwise not many options. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? Thanks!
  17. I have USLW but not their ID theft coverage and have talked to David at Nappen's office 3-4 times.
  18. Thanks for the reply. So, just to clarify, the court is the entity that cashes the MO? Also, does the clerk's response rise to the level of contacting the ANJRPC strike force? Last, any idea what Judge we are dealing with here?
  19. Where did you hear this? Do you have any additional details? What guidance do they need? Didn't the AG already do this? Anyone else here live in Mercer that has applied? I think @bennj applied basically at the same time as I did. Other than that I don't recall anyone from Mercer posting on their progress (or lack thereof).
  20. That works too! I am just lazy...
