  1. I did my first a little late, and used up the leftover Fall fertilizer plus did heavy lime. It's a little light on nitrogen, but it's better than nothing. Not sure I'm going to do a second treatment. Got a few new weeds I have to pull.
  2. Nah, I just like dogs that I can't accidentally suck up into the vacuum cleaner. Somehow, this doesn't look like a really threatening dog to be worried about...
  3. Well, your first problem is having pocket dogs, instead of real man dogs who can climb and go anywhere (like your buddies dog). What about it being a problem Spring, Summer and Fall. Where are they peeing and are they burning out the grass in those areas? Another option, since you said it was a 10 foot area, just pick up some sod from Home Depot and put it down there. Instant grass and no mud or burned areas. A quick look has their sod at about $1/ sq. ft. Or, put down astroturf... it will never burn or turn yellow..
  4. This is really the only thing he can do, heavy water the area to dilute the urine, since it's primarily nitrogen. It will eventually come back. I dealt with this issue with my pups on sod I put down. That first urine blast in the morning was like sulfuric acid and always killed a ring of grass. It would take over a month for the grass to come back, but because it was such a nitrogen blast, that ring was nice and green when it re-grew. I had to train the dogs to pee over in a gravel section in my backyard to save my grass. My current dude will sneak over occasionally and water the grass, but most of the time, it's small dosages, so it doesn't burn out much. Plus, he's so considerate, and will only pee on the outside fringe of the yard, never in the middle of the grass. For those bare areas, I would just rough them up with a rake, and throw a handful of seed/mulch combo on it, and let it go. It always comes back in about a month. The key is to get everyone in the family on the same page on where you want the dogs to pee in the future, so only a small area gets nuked, and not the whole yard.
  5. Come on, it's only money... it's not like you can take the money with you when you die. Plus, you can legally carry a taser, can you do that with a handgun?
  6. Ha Ha If you go check out your link where you pulled that from, the date on the top of the page is 2011 Edition, and a amendment was made in 1998. Did we only have 48 states in 1998? Or, are the people working for the government writing this stuff really confused? I think a few more than that need to go...
  7. 48 states?? Which two states did we lose? Also, didn't Obama, while campaigning, say we had 57 states that he traveled to with one left to go?
  8. So the Boy Scouts consider the Blue Line flag should be treated with dignity and retired correctly... Here's my reaction:
  9. Correct... one point for you! How would flying a flag on your house, get you out of a ticket while driving in your car? Can the cop see your house from 25 miles away when he pulls you over? I just took your point away.... BTW, that picture I posted is MY house. If you don't like my flag display, look closer in that picture at the front door. My killer is trained to rip out your throat if you don't like the flags... I was going to fly the Red, White and Blue like this picture below, but wifey had a issue with it: So, I fly the ones you see in my first picture instead. She asked me why I fly the "redneck flag" (the yellow one), once I educated her on the Gadsden Flag, she now gets it.
  10. I agree with that, it doesn't have to be an "official" red/white/blue stars and stripes to have the symbolism and to be treated with dignity. 100% good choice! Really? That's pretty close-minded.. So, what's your opinion of what's flying in this picture?
  11. Like all these? OK, here they are: ..." These specifications are contained in an executive order which, strictly speaking, governs only flags made for or by the U.S. federal government.[67] In practice, most U.S. national flags available for sale to the public have a different width-to-height ratio; " ..." As with the design, the official colors are only officially required for flags produced for the U.S. federal government, and other colors are often used for mass-market flags, printed reproductions, and other products intended to evoke flag colors. " Doesn't sound like there's a "official" specification for public use, does it?
  12. I agree with that based on the symbolism, so I would suggest contact the Boy Scouts or the A.L. to see who can handle the correct disposal. What makes it "official"? Can you only buy a US flag in D.C. at the White House store?
  13. Who makes an alternative safety for it? That is definitely something it needs.
  14. Actually, if you want to see some great comedy, go post a "Curb Alert" on Craigslist and post a time that the FREE mower will be at the street, and watch the vultures line up! The hordes that show up for those type of postings is truly scary!
  15. I was just coming here to post that. Push it out to the street, hang a sign "FREE", it will be gone in hours. You'd be amazed what crap the scavengers will take!
  16. That's what I was thinking... How many FID holders actually know the new law that went into effect last October regarding transfers? Maybe 5% - 10% max... Hell, how many 15 round mags are still going to the range this week???
  17. I also have a Scorpion, but in the NJ neutered version. It's definitely fun to shoot. I didn't have any issue with the mag release once you figure out where it is. I have a small issue with the lever of the safety on the right side digs into the web of my hand with my normal grip. I have to slide down the grip a little to prevent that.
  18. Now this is interesting. Is there an actual lawmaker that is starting to understand what Unconstitutional laws are? HARRISBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — A Pennsylvania lawmaker is looking to abolish the state’s conceal carry law that requires gun owners to register with their county sheriff if they want to hide their weapon while carrying, according to CBS affiliate KDKA. KDKA reports Pennsylvania State Rep. Aaron Bernstine of Lawrence County has introduced House Bill 1412, which would eliminate concealed carry laws for anyone who’s already passed a background check and has been cleared to own a gun in the state. “If you only want to carry a firearm here in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, what you have the ability to do is, you should have the ability to do that without getting a concealed carry license,” Bernstine told KDKA political editor Jon Delano on Tuesday. https://wjactv.com/news/local/pa-bill-would-remove-need-for-conceal-carry-permits-for-gun-owners
  19. I believe the same thing, illegal transfer.
  20. Based on new law, I think there would be a problem with both. It could be considered an illegal transfer without NICS and COE/FFL paperwork... The days of letting a buddy take/try a long gun, just because he has a FID card are over.
  21. A Liberal woman, who's pregnant with raging hormones that are running like a roller coaster... I'd suggest you buy one of these first before buying the safe:
  22. That is exactly what I did. Started as a service tech and equipment installer in my early 20's. Over about a six year or so period, I moved up to Service manager, then Designer and Project Manager, then Sales, the Equipment Manager. Hard work, paying attention, willing to do whatever it took, always looking to learn more, were the secrets. Never worried about who was making more than me, or if the "evil" boss was keeping all the profits. I just focused on what I needed to do to make more than them. Then, using all the knowledge I learned, started my own equipment business when I was 30. Nobody gave me nothing, I used a home equity loan to fund my start-up business. Many years later, sold the company to my biggest competitor, and worked for them as a Territory Equipment Manager. Hard work, determination, never giving up, and I was able to retire in my 50's, zero regrets and totally happy. But then again, I'm not a Socialist, but a Capitalist.
  23. It only happens to people who actual WORK for a living, NOT just show up each day (like you do). Walmart says store managers are making an average of $175,000 a year ...." In the company's first ever environmental, social and governance report, the nation's largest private employer reveals store managers earn an average salary of $175,000 a year. They said more than 75 percent of them have worked through the ranks after starting out as hourly employees." https://abc13.com/finance/walmart-managers-earn-$175000-a-year-on-average-report/5293048/
  24. He is STILL in Congress, and if he wanted to bring it up to change legislation, he could do so TODAY. Wanna guess why he won't?
  25. and THAT is exactly what happened in Australia when they did their gun grab. Violent crime skyrocketed, because people could no longer defend themselves.
