  1. That answered my first question that you haven't received your permits yet, me neither. Regarding the second sentence, brilliant minds think alike.
  2. There's a semi-auto ban Bill already written and waiting in the bullpen in Trenton for the next "opportunity" to present itself.
  3. I told you guys these attacks were coming. There's nothing these Dems won't go after, Constitution or not, it doesn't matter to them. Plus, they are all playing "Can You Top This" with their campaign rhetoric and promises. It's not going to get any better going forward here folks, only worse, when will the 2A community push back? Sanders tweeted in response to New Zealand’s ban: Sanders’ tweet continues the promulgation of the myth that banning a certain type of firearm will make us safer. However, Department of Justice reports make two things clear: First, the 1994-2004 “assault weapons” ban did not reduce crime. Secondly, “Assault weapons” are not the gun of choice for criminals. More recently, in January 2019, the DOJ released a study showing handguns are the weapons of choice for criminals. The study looked at roughly 300,000 federal and state inmates, finding that 18 percent of them used handguns in the commission of their crimes while 1.4 percent used rifles of any kind. The percentage of “assault weapons” used would have necessarily been even lower than 1.4. But Sanders and other Democrats want to ban commonly-owned semiautomatic rifles under the guise of keeping us safe. https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/03/21/bernie-sanders-calls-for-new-zealand-style-gun-ban-in-u-s/
  4. Who is his actual email provider? Any chance they are blocking incoming email (some corporate systems do this) from the NJ Portal to him? This is the first time we've seen this mentioned, one other person said their reference didn't get the email, but he entered the wrong one on the app.

Any chance stupid people ask stupid questions, and once they get their answer, they become smarter? And they stay stupid until they ask all those questions and get educated.
  6. That's the way I'm leaning too. I put in for 3 more permits, not because I need something, but figuring it might not be possible later on, Definitely looking at the "wish list", and just pulling the trigger now for anything that might be a consideration in the future. Wait,,, you don't have all the ammo you need NOW?
  7. Ha ha.. maybe not.. I have decades of experience dealing with 100s and 100s of women, so I've been in that "blender" (and have the scars to prove it). You have to agree, it's difficult to reason with the majority of women logically, the emotional side usually wins out.
  8. I think anyone following along on this forum should know the drill, and would already have all that they wanted, so running out to purchase might not be an issue with them. Filling in the holes or getting something on the wish list might happen. "should" and "will" are two different animals with certain, illogical anti-2A people.
  9. That's what I was thinking. Need a fifth question, "if Democrats introduce MORE overreaching legislation in the US" (which I believe is coming very shortly).
  10. Two things, make sure the email address that was put down for them is correct. You only get one shot at that. Second, tell them to check their Spam or junk folders. If one reference received the email, the other one should have too, unless it never got there.
  11. That's very possible, but it basically neuters the use of any owned firearms in the future. No range trips, no hunting, no nothing. And if you pull it to use for self-defense in the home, YOU become the felon.
  12. In response to what happened in New Zealand, I wouldn't be surprised to hear more candidates and current lawmakers come out pushing for more bans, registrations and confiscations. Coming from Texas, I was surprised to hear Beto actually propose this. Wonder how far away Texas is to turning Blue? "Fox & Friends Weekend" host Pete Hegseth on Sunday urged viewers to buy more AR-15s after Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke called for a ban on the sale of the weapons. The comment came after O'Rourke, who last week announced he is running for president, said Saturday that he doesn't think the U.S. needs to "sell any more weapons of war into this public." "If you own an AR-15, keep it. Continue to use it responsibly and safely," O'Rourke said. "I just don't think that we need to sell any more weapons of war into this public." Hegseth replied, "This will appeal to his base: young people who are uninformed about the difference between an automatic and semiautomatic rifle. But go out and get your second AR-15 today. Maybe it's a good reason to do so," Hegseth continued. Hegseth fired back on Sunday, saying, "Stocks of gun companies probably will go up after things like this. Responsible gun owners recognize their right to own rifles like that. You can use 'weapons of war' or 'assault ban' all you want." https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/434452-fox-news-host-tells-viewers-to-stock-up-on-ar-15s-after-orourke
  13. More details on the ban regarding specific firearms. She's basically neutering most semi auto rifles and shotguns. And this is just her FIRST round of bans, they're working on round TWO also. "The effect of this will mean that no one will be able to buy these weapons without a permit to procure from the police. I can assure people that there is no point in applying for such a permit," she said, adding "In short, every semi-automatic weapon used in the terrorist attack on Friday will be banned in this country." The ban will apply to all firearms currently defined as "Military Style" or "Semi-Automatic" (MSSA), defined as a semi-automatic firearm - including shotguns - capable of being used with a detachable magazine that holds more than five rounds. Guns which are not affected by the ban include semi-automatic .22 caliber rimfire firearms with a magazine holding no more than 10 rounds, as well as semi-automatic and pump-action shotguns with a non-detachable tubular magazine holding no more than five rounds. Ardern also announced a gun buyback scheme that will cost between NZ$100 million and $200 million (between US$69 million and $139 million), depending on the number of weapons received. Anyone who keeps their guns after an amnesty period which has yet to be announced will face fines of up to $4,000 and three years in jail - which is less jail time than a New Zealand resident could receive for downloading or sharing a video of the Christchurch attacks. As far as "Tranche two," Ardern said "There is more to be done and tranche two will look at issues around licensing, issues around registration, issues around storage. There are a range of other amendments that we believe do need to be made and that will be the second tranche of reforms yet to come." https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2019-03-21/new-zealand-bans-guns-after-mass-shooting-all-military-style-and-assault-rifles
  14. If you go to that link, she's getting a lot of push back from Muslim women. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is a terrorist. This is what happens when you let woman rule in the political spectrum. They rule by emotions, not logic.
  15. Just wait to see in short while what the Dems propose NOW, in response to this NZ ban. It will empower Dems to ban anything more powerful than water pistols. Tick Tock
  16. I believe the PM put an immediate ban on the sale of AR platforms yesterday. If someone didn't buy before then, they are SOL now, she even said don't even think of applying for a permit.
  17. This article makes it sound like she's doing a total semi-auto ban on anything, that would include handguns too. It includes ANY firearm capable of semi-auto fire. CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand — Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on Thursday announced a national ban on all military-style semiautomatic weapons, all high-capacity ammunition magazines and all parts that allow weapons to be modified into the kinds of guns used to kill 50 people at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, last week. Ms. Ardern said her goal was to eliminate from New Zealand the weapons that the killer used in Christchurch. She emphasized that it will require a mix of regulation around both firearms and ammunition. “Today, I’m announcing New Zealand will ban all military-style semiautomatic weapons,” she said in outlining the changes. “We will also ban all assault rifles, we will ban all high-capacity magazines. We will ban all parts with the ability to convert semiautomatic or any other type of firearm into a military-style semiautomatic weapon.” “We will ban parts that cause a firearm to generate semiautomatic, automatic or close-to-automatic gunfire,” she added. “In short, every semiautomatic weapon used in the terror attack on Friday will be banned in this country.” https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/20/world/asia/new-zealand-semiautomatic-ban-ardern-.html
  18. And just like that, all evil black weapons are banned, with the stroke of a pen. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says New Zealand is immediately banning assault rifles, high-capacity magazines and “military style semi-automatic rifles” like the weapons used in last Friday’s attacks on two Christchurch mosques. Ardern announced the ban Thursday and said it would be followed by legislation to be introduced next month. “Today I am announcing that New Zealand will ban all military-style semi-automatic weapons,” Ardern said Wednesday. “We will also ban all assault rifles. We will ban all high capacity magazines.” “In short, every semi-automatic weapon used in the terrorist attack on Friday will be banned in this country,” she said. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/03/21/new-zealand-to-ban-all-assault-weapons-immediately.html

This is why I said the other day we need to "think" before immediately responding to a new poster, as we don't know their history or motives. Many here are quick to help (which is nice), but we need to be careful that a new poster isn't trolling to see what he can "snag".
  20. I believe it is most of the state now, but not back in January when you applied. I think the system came online in February. Strange that you think the SP isn't using the system in your area. The application is on the SP web site and they process all the initial applications first, plus the criminal background check runs through the SP web site too. Did you call them directly and ask if they are using the new system?
  21. I've seen the same thing. Everyone I know who has a iPhone or iPad has complained about the connector/cable going bad. I'm still using the same Droid cable for at least 3+ years. Plus, it fits all types of other Android devices/phones, generic tablets, MP3 players, bluetooth speakers and many other items that charge from a USB cable. And, I've never paid one cent for any music I've downloaded, compared to iTunes.
  22. Re-starting also pulls a lot of juice from the battery, so if you're doing a lot of short trips, where the battery isn't getting recharged each time, that can be an issue.
