  1. Wow, if things get that bad, and we have to resort to that, I think it's time to order more ammo...
  2. It must be nice to live in a FREE America, I wonder what that's like? Oklahoma passes Constitutional Carry 2-27-2019 Permitless Gun Carry Bill First Signed by Oklahoma Governor OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma residents will be able to openly carry firearms without a background check or training under a bill given final legislative approval Wednesday that quickly became the first signed into law by the new Republican governor. Dubbed "constitutional carry" by its supporters, the bill passed the Senate on a 40-6 vote with every Republican and one Democrat voting in favor. It already sailed through the GOP-controlled House . The bill, which becomes effective Nov. 1, would allow most residents 21 and older to carry concealed or unconcealed firearms without a license. Exceptions would include anyone in the country illegally or those convicted of certain crimes. Firearms would still be prohibited in certain locations, including public buildings, schools, professional sporting events, casinos and bars. https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/oklahoma/articles/2019-02-27/permitless-gun-carry-bill-heads-to-oklahomas-new-governor
  3. For a garage, you need multiple items, because of the temperature and humidity swings. A goldenrod just produces heat. You also should have ways to absorb any water. Some are using Eva Dry systems and you can also order plain bags of desiccant from Amazon that can be recharged and dried out in a oven. Also, with a goldenrod you have to run a wire into the safe. If it's a fireproof safe, that can be an issue too.

  5. I remember reading this article a while ago, so I searched it out. I wish just ONE of the Democrats (or Republicans) who voted for this bill could explain how this law will now prevent the following situation in the Homicide capital of the country, Chicago: ...." Police seize an illegal weapon about once every hour, most connected to gangs on the South and West sides. Authorities cite two reasons for the heavy gun traffic: Penalties for carrying these firearms aren't considered a deterrent and, according to police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi, suspects tell officers they "would rather be caught by police with a gun ... than caught by a rival gang without one." Tracking gang guns is especially difficult because they move from one faction to another, and when police finally seize them, they're rarely in the hands of the purchaser. "Gangs use guns like timeshares," says Andrew Papachristos, a sociology professor at Northwestern University. "They stay in circulation." Once guns move from the legal to the illegal market, they can bounce around the city with no rhyme or reason, says Celinez Nunez, special agent in charge of the Chicago office of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. She says one gun now being investigated has been used in more than 30 crimes, including homicides and assaults. https://www.foxnews.com/us/9000-firearms-and-counting-illegal-guns-flood-chicago I'm sure, if this bill gets signed into law, every one of those young men will be getting background checks, before transferring the gun, right? After all, criminals always follow existing laws. Oh, wait............
  6. Exactly.. Murphy said he wanted to lead the country with UNCONSTITUTIONAL, oops, common sense gun laws.
  7. Probably just a couple of Socialists getting together to decide what other rights they're OK with Murphy taking away.
  8. While you were sleeping or watching the Cohen "Dog and Pony" show, the House (including some Republicans) has been busy taking away MORE of your rights. The House on Wednesday passed legislation to expand gun-purchase background check requirements to cover virtually all gun sales and most firearms transfers, taking its most far-reaching steps in years on gun control. The bill passed 240-190, after which gun control advocates who were on hand to observe the vote applauded in the House chamber. Eight Republicans voted yes, and two Democrats voted no. Many Democrats wore orange for the vote to signify their support for the issue. Republicans, though, said the legislation will result in otherwise law-abiding citizens getting needlessly swept up into the federal bureaucracy and that it sounded like the first step toward a national gun registry, which conservatives staunchly oppose. The legislation from Rep. Mike Thompson, California Democrat, would make it illegal for anyone who is not a licensed gun dealer, manufacturer, or importer to transfer a gun to anyone who is not similarly licensed without conducting a background check. But Mr. Scalise said some of the exemption language is too vague. “You not only need to bring your hunting partner, you might need to bring your attorney to find out if loaning your shotgun to your friend makes you a felon under this bill,” he said. The bill includes exemptions, including for gifts to family members and transfers for hunting and target shooting purposes. The House is also set to vote this week on legislation from House Majority Whip James Clyburn, South Carolina Democrat, that would extend the amount of time a dealer has to wait to hear back from the FBI on whether a would-be purchaser is barred from having a gun before proceeding with a sale. https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/feb/27/house-passes-sweeping-gun-legislation/
  9. ...."Facing a drop in approval rating and internal scandals, Governor Murphy deflected by hosting a so-called “gun safety” roundtable. However, there was one major issue — there were no gun safety experts on the panel. While grandstanding on the issue of guns, Governor Murphy did reveal his “Gun Control 2.0” package and claimed “our work is not done.” During the meeting Murphy stated he will be fighting for some of the following laws: 1. Make it a crime to make a straw purchase or try to procure a firearm through a straw purchaser. For those not aware this is already a crime. 2 Revitalize the so-called “smart gun” technology by replacing the failed 2002 smart gun law that many claim single handily halted any advancement of “smart guns” by exposing the democrat’s true agenda: making it the only gun you can buy. As we have written before, this law is hated by everyone, including democrats. 3.Require anyone that sells ammunition to electronically record every sale and report it to the state police. Since passing the reporting requirement no reduction in crime has been reported. Probably because criminals do not buy ammunition from legal sources. 4. Mandate that every gun owner take a firearm class. 5. Reapply for your firearms ID card every 4 years.
  10. So, I'll ask again, after the results of the Roundtable today: Is it Time Yet???
  11. Anyone go to the facebook link in the OP? Here's a picture from Smurphy's facebook page. Look at the kids, specially the one on the far right of the picture. He looks absolutely petrified of being close to Smurphy.
  12. GOV. MURPHY TO HOLD ANTI-GUN "ROUNDTABLE" FEB. 26 AT 2:30 PM Governor Murphy has announced that he is holding a roundtable discussion on "gun safety" at 2:30 p.m. in the NJ State House on Tuesday, February 26th. The announcement indicates that Gov. Murphy will be joined by the Giffords Law Center to prevent Gun Violence, legislators, and community leaders. Last year's onslaught of misguided gun laws targeted at law abiding citizens instead of hardened criminals began with a similar event. Uninvited and absent from the "roundtable," both last year and this year, will be anyone from a group supporting the rights of law-abiding gun owners. The event can be viewed live on Facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/governorphilmurphy/ Please watch for further updates and alerts. Please forward this email to every gun owner you know, and if you don’t already receive alerts from ANJRPC, please subscribe to our free email alerts for the latest Second Amendment breaking news and action alerts.
  13. Well, how about pulling a SJW Greenday and calling it: Pork Taylor Ham Roll then everyone will be happy?
  14. Google does a lot MORE than that, along with Farcebook, Amazon, etc. and every other app on your phone.
  15. I have a better idea, scroll to about 40 seconds in for the first one: Another one at 1:20, 1:40, 2:15
  16. Actually, I had send a few photos over to AirGraphix to get a ballpark estimate, and they came back reasonable, so I was going to contact them. Plus, they're relatively close by, so that's a plus too. There aren't a lot of companies around doing this stuff.
  17. That's exactly what I've been wrestling with. I believe the paint will last longer, the question is, I don't know how long I'll be owning this thing. If the novelty wears off after a few years, and I sell it, then longevity isn't an issue. If, for some crazy way, I keep it for 10+ years, then paint sounds like the better route. Although, Screwball said they have a truck wrapped in 2011 that's still OK.. Maybe the type of vinyl used makes a difference? Time for some additional homework.
  18. That was really helpful information. I'm planning on doing the exterior of a new RV, so it won't come close to the daily activity, driving and manhandling like your work truck gets. My concern is all the cutting and fitting around windows, hatches, vents and if they end up being an area that makes it easier for the wrap to start peeling. If the wrap lasts at least 5 years, that wouldn't be half bad. My other choice is to get it custom painted, then put some cosmetic vinyl decals on it, thinking that the paint might last longer than the wrap. But I'd still be dealing with how the vinyl decals age, peel or fade. From some ballpark estimates, it's sounds like the paint is a lot more expensive than the wrap. Any idea what that guy charged to wrap your trucks?
