  1. OK you slackers, reason Number Two to order a few bags. The company is sponsoring a car at the Coca Cola 600 at Charlotte on Sunday. These sponsorships aren't cheap, they need your support (and orders). From the news release: Jeffrey Earnhardt's car will carry sponsorship from the Black Rifle Coffee Company and Nine Line Apparel. Additionally, in the spirit of Memorial Day Weekend, the names of 617 men and women who lost their lives in service to the USA will adorn the hood of the race car. Get your credit cards out and order.... STAT... NOW.... DO IT.....
  2. She did suggest that I should consider sleeping with one eye opened... Now, that's a great comeback, I'll have to remember that next time. We just hit 38 years, so I can pretty much say what I want, just have to duck quick when the frying pan comes flying..
  3. I said the same thing to my wife (who I'm still married to), but I wasn't joking... Really, re-sign up for a 2nd life sentence?? It's a good thing she doesn't know how to access my safe...
  4. I have both, a gas powered trimmer and a battery powered one. I use the gas for the tough wacking jobs and edging and the battery for normal trimming. With the new Li-On battery packs, it has plenty of power for normal trimming and is great if you don't want to deal with doing the pre-mix on the 2 cycle. I also have a battery operated tiller that shares the batteries with the trimmer. We use that for digging the holes and loosening the dirt when planting all the veggies and flowers. I still use gas for the blower. That technology has come a long way since Ni-Cad. I'm actually amazed on the power and battery life on all my drills, saws and other cordless tools.
  5. What's the matter, you don't like feeding wild animals?
  6. Just ordered a few bags. As a Memorial Day Special, they're sending a bag to a deployed serviceman for every bag ordered. Come on you slackers, support the military and place some orders! https://www.blackriflecoffee.com/
  7. Maybe he'll kill the vote on the Senate floor??? Ha Ha... I know, pipe dream...
  8. So you're saying digging a hole in the woods, and pouring the used oil into it, is just like "recycling"?
  9. Update from NRA's email today: Yesterday, the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee considered and passed multiple anti-gun measures. The below listed bills will now head to the Senate floor. Companion versions of these bills have already passed the Assembly, so your Senator needs to hear from you now more than ever. Please contact your state Senator and urge them to OPPOSE these gun control bills. One of the scheduled bills, S.2259 by Sen. Richard Codey (D), was held from the agenda and not considered. S.2259 creates extreme risk protection orders whereby firearms can be seized and constitutional rights suspended with little to no due process. The bill fails to penalize those who fabricate accusations, and it does nothing to improve public safety.
  10. My brush is pretty broad in experience. I "own" three Millennial kids and know a ton of their friends. Most all come from solid, 2 parent, middle class or upper middle class families. I see a lot of "slackers" in their circle of friends, most who have 4 year degrees. Plus my wife works for a large corporation who hires many entry level admins (at good salaries) with college degrees. She sees the slackers on a daily basis. One of the stand jokes we have (as sad as it is), the mindset of these kids is : "Hey, I actually showed up at the office today, now you want me to WORK too?". She sees this on a regular basis as she walks by their cubes, this is what's on their computer screens. Then at the end of the day, they complain they didn't get a project completed because they were just too busy....
  11. The problem is, the country is missing a large part of the population who actually will do WORK. These new Snowflakes just want to show up and get paid, ask them to actually do something productive for the company and EARN their salary, you'd think they were asked to cut off an arm. Working in manufacturing and construction actually means doing physical work. The new generation would rather sit in their cubicles and surf Fakebook, shop Amazon, text their friends, post selfies on Instagram, watch Youtube videos and make plans for lunch
  12. Hey, on the plus side, it helped keep the mosquito population down.
  13. Saw this in a NRA email: On Monday May 21, the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee will hold a hearing at 1 p.m. in Room 4 of the Statehouse Annex, and half a dozen anti-gun bills are on the agenda. The Assembly versions of these bills have already passed the Assembly, and the Senate Law & Public Safety Committee approved the Senate companion bills roughly a month ago. However, many of the bills have been double-referenced, and the Budget and Appropriations Committee is going to discuss amendments and fiscal impacts. Gun owners should continue to strongly voice opposition to these bills. Even amended, these bills are bad and will do nothing to enhance school or public safety. If the legislation clears the committee Monday, they would still have to pass the Senate. The following bills are on Monday's agenda: S.102 by Sen. Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg (D) is a magazine and gun ban. S.2259 by Sen. Richard Codey (D) creates extreme risk protection orders whereby firearms can be seized and constitutional rights suspended with little to no due process. S.160 by Sen. Vin Gopal (D) would allow for suspension of gun rights by unaccountable “health professionals.” S.2376 by Sen. Linda Greenstein (D) codifies New Jersey’s “justifiable need” standard for the issuance of concealed carry permits. S.2245 by Sen. Fred Madden, Jr. (D) bans handgun ammunition which is already banned under federal law. S.2374 by Sen. Linda Greenstein (D) would require background checks on all firearm transfers. S.2465 by Sen. Joseph Cryan (D) would prohibit purchasing firearm components to unlawfully manufacture a firearm without a serial number. Please contact members of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee and respectfully request that these bills be opposed. Senate Budget and Appropriates Committee: Sen. Paul Sarlo (Chair) (201) 804-8118 Sen. Brian Stack (Vice-Chair) (201) 376-1942 Sen. Dawn Marie Addiego 609-654-1498 Sen. Anthony Bucco 973-627-9700 Sen. Nilsa Cruz-Perez (856) 541-1251 (Camden) (856) 547-4800 (Audubon) (856) 853-2960 (Woodbury) Sen. Sandra Cunningham 201-451-5100 Sen. Patrick Diegnan Jr. 908-757-1677 Sen. Linda Greenstein 609-395-9911 Sen. Declan O’Scanlon Jr. 732-933-1591 Sen. Steve Oroho (973) 300-0200 (Sparta) (908) 441-6343 (Allamuchy) Sen. Teresa Ruiz 973-484-1000 Sen. Troy Singleton 856-234-2790 Sen. Samuel Thompson 732-607-7580
  14. Maybe you're hanging out with the wrong people. Are you watching everyone's UPS and Fedex deliveries? Most people don't broadcast what their ammo inventory is.
  15. I drove by her house and saw the kid outside. I snapped a quick picture of him at work: I wonder why????
  16. They gave me call tags, I called UPS or Fedex (don't remember which one) to get a pickup, and put them on my front porch. They came and picked them up. I didn't have to bring them anywhere.
  17. Come on, don't be a cheapskate and play around... get him his own, fully loaded AR15... After all, this is America!
  18. When Mrs. Sniper sees the Fedex or UPS driver walking up the driveway, if he's strolling nicely, he has one of her packages. If he's almost getting a hernia carrying a different package, I hear a voice "here comes some more ammo" from the other side of the house... Heck, at least she could do is accept the delivery and bring it to me.. Geez...
  19. Wait. he's YOUR dog, he's suppose to be protecting you, right?
  20. What can I tell you, the dog tells me he loves the feel of that lush, green grass on his butt when he's taking a dump... I'm just here to serve.
  21. Mrs. Peel is correct.. I wish I had that problem with wifey, she just ain't interested, but when my deliveries show up, she just shakes her head and walks away... Now, if I hid her Kohl's and DSW deliveries, she'd be USING one of my pieces of equipment on ME... (good thing she doesn't have access to them)
  22. Here's a great picture to illustrate how the weeds like it, and how cutting the grass high stops a lot of them.
  23. The affect of long, deep watering versus short, frequent cycles on root growth. Below, it shows that cutting grass lower makes actual more work to keep it growing, as the roots don't penetrate deep enough, you'll have to put in more effort to keep in green and growing:
  24. The clippings should be left and not composted. They contain all the nitrogen/fertilizer that was put down previously. So they are actually re-feeding the grass when they decompose. I represent that remark.... but I still like my lush, thick, green lawn... It certainly beats looking at a dry, moonscape for a lawn. You need to add lime and sweeten the ground. Moss grows because the soil is too acidic. That's a popular problem in the South.
