Redfish62 1 Posted April 5, 2010 I have used center fire snap caps for dry firing my Taurus Judge. I just picked up a Taurus 94 22LR 9 shoot revolver and the only snap caps I found were plastic and some alum. training rounds. I read online that the plastic type breaks off little pieces of plastic and the alum. are only good for a few rounds. Most people stated they just use spent brass rds and they have no problem. Does anyone use their spent brass to dry fire their rim fired firearms?
Chad 3 Posted April 5, 2010 I have, I like to make sure it is just turned in a different direction than where the "dent" is. I rotate them a tad each time I dry fire so the firing pin has a "clean spot" of rim to fall upon.
