Drew 4 Posted July 8, 2010 So Im still trying to get my ducks in a row for a gift I plan on giving to my brother. I plan to buy a Pietta 1851 Colt Navy US Marshall percussion revolver and convert it to 45 Schofield. The two issues I have at this point is that I will need to have a bullet channel created and have the kirst konverter cylinder and loading gate plated to match the revolver. I have read the reviews on the local gunsmiths mentioned here, but do any of them do plating or is there a plating service locally that people have used? junkmanted 54 Posted July 8, 2010 pull out the phone book for plating and ask if they mind doing gun parts . I had a guy in west orange years ago nickel plate a pistol for me. Or do a internet search and ship the parts. good luck on your project

Im more worried about getting the parts back screwed up.
