firearm store open sundays

Hey guys,

Are there any firearm stores open on sundays? I'm looking to buy a 22lr pistol today and I'm not sure of who is open. I know ramsey outdoor in roxbury is open but not sure if they sell firearms. If anyone could help me out with this it would be great. Thanks chris.

I am pretty sure NICS checks are closed Sunday. You can "shop" for a gun on Sunday but you can't take it home.

Yes, NICS is not open Sunday but gun shops that are will often let you square away all your paperwork and pay so you can save time and just pick up during the week.

I'm pretty sure Cheyanne Mountain and Effingers are open.

NICS is open 17 hours a day, 7 days a week, 364 days a year, closed only on Christmas Day.

 

Unfortunately, NJ does not use the federal NICS system. This state uses its own state run system which, surprise surprise, does not have those great hours and is not open on Sundays. NJ's system is open 13 hours a day M-F and Saturday from 10 to 5, and is closed for a slew of all the typical holidays such as Veteran's Day, Columbus Day, etc.

NJ NICS is open Mon-Fri: 9AM-8PM, and Sat: 10AM-5PM.

They are closed on Sundays, 13 state holidays, and by executive order of the Governor.
