Makes sense, as in from an impact/abuse perspective, as I could imagine the composite would crack before alloy bends/cracks. But from a take-to-the range gun, I havent found much information on the web when it comes to that. I've found reviews that say , "its crap, the reciever will crack, etc", to "I have 17K rounds through mine without any problems, its a great rifle", and many comments on how many of the early problems +5 years ago have been solved by Bushmaster (mostly related to feed ramp issues). I suppose it comes down to what you intend to use the rifle for. Lightweight range/ranch gun, i dont see why not. Life-depends on dropped in the middle of the wilderness gun... most definately not as its not proven enough for that. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
