nj22 2 Posted December 2, 2011 Long time in the making, but finally landed on a cz-85b (thanks to Mastodon for hooking me up). Solid piece of machinery. Kind of wish the stainless was full ambi, but then again, I don't need to spend the extra $$. Got it out on the range today and put a bunch of different ammo through it--Winchester white box, Magtech, some brown box milsurp ball (which felt extra snappy for some reason). Not a hiccup. I was shooting at about 17 yards. First 20 or so rounds were low, then to the right. I finally calmed down a bit (I was a little excited) and everything went where it was supposed to. After about 150 rounds I decided I spent enough cash for the day and packed it up. These seem to be especially popular at the moment and, in my estimation, deservedly so. To quote Mr. Bueller, it is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up. (for those of you who know about posting pictures of firearms online, did I miss anything? Don't want stray numbers or identifying marks flowing around in cyber space)
RecessedFilter 222 Posted December 2, 2011 Awesome dude! Glad you finally got your hands on one, I know it was getting to be quite a headache... All I have to say is I am not surprised you love it. CZ's are very underrated and I think for once they are starting to actually get somewhat popular in the U.S., which is awesome because they are really really really nice guns. hd2000fxdl 422 Posted December 7, 2011 Very nice, just picked up a 85b combat on Monday, nice shooter and my new production and static steel gun. (null)
nj22 2 Posted December 8, 2011 Nice. How do you like the adjustable sights? I almost got the combat but figured I'd probably just pick my own sights in the future so I went bone stock instead. Tough decision, however.
