Shot My First 1911 Today

Met with my buddy today and shot (the first time in a long time). We used his Colt 1911. New gun, 2 tone. .45acp.

 

The gun shot well. I didn't. I need to practice. A lot. It did reinforce that I picked the right platform for me. I loved the feel of that gun. Fit my hand really well. One malfunction, but it was probably me limp wristing it just a tad on that round. We put about 150 thru her today. A really pleasant experience.

 

Shot at the Bullet Hole. I've never been there before. Not nearly as bad as I'd imagined or heard. Guys weren't cranky at all, just abrupt. Too many people to deal with and no time to deal with all of them. I get that. Genevieve behind the counter was pleasant enough as was her partner who's name I didn't catch. Just steadily moving folks in and out. I liked it.

 

All in all a good day and I am looking to repeat that feeling a bunch more times in the future.

I have two nothing feels as good in my hand all thru the 80s it was 45 vs 9 every single magazine ,actually it was 1911 45s vs every 9mm ever invented.my solution was to get a 45acp and a 9mm 1911
