New Chair of Public Safety Committee

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know anything about Charles Mainor, the new Chair of the Assembly Law and Public Safety Committee. Gordon Johnson, the previous chair, is a total disaster on 2A and other issues and was a lost cause. Mainor is a former Jersey City detective. At the beginning of the hearing he claimed to have an open mind and to do what is right not popular. It would be great if we could hold him to his word. For example, the committee is what keeps the CCW bill from ever getting to the assembly. We could make a lot of progress if he is indeed open minded and rational. We all **** and moan about the inability to make progress on 2A issues, but we don't necessarily need to have massive success in an election. Having a pro 2A or even a 2A netural person as Attorney General and the head of this committee would go a long ways. I assume NJ2AS and ANJRPC are on top of that and have or will reached out to him.

IMO, if it is an appointed position, he will be only be a puppet and will do what he is told.

Mainer is from Jersey City.

Took directions from Chief Comey who is anti gun.

Chief Comey took directions from 'MAIG' Mayor Rub-a-Dub who is anti gun, and a drunkard.

And I strongly believe it is an appointed position, thus PK90 would be correct.
