Pinned Magazines ?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know the official answer to pinning high caps mags for a gun that does not offer NJ legal mags. Several vendors have said they can pin the mags others say that even if an ffl pins them they are considered blocked. They continued to say that it is illegal to have blocked mags in the people republic of New Jersey. The magazines in question only come in 19rd and the manufacturer does not offer any lower capacity magazines. Any solid information would be greatly appreciated.

If the magazines are permanently modified by the FFL, they are OK in NJ. Reach out to PK90. He runs Arms-n-Ammo in Winslow, and not only can he set you straight about what's legal and what isn't, he can probably get you a good price one whatever gun you're looking to buy. http://www.colddeadhands.com

Somewhere around here is a copy of a letter from the state indicating that magazines must be permanently modified to be legal. PK90 is a reputable guy to go to for this.

That's right and right about now, we'll start getting the various interpretations of what makes up "permanent". :) From what I've read, PK90 is the guy to see about legalizing a mag for NJ usage.
