Bully 749 Posted April 15, 2012 I've looked around but can't seem to find anything definitive... Anyone know what the twist in the 20" Heavy Barrel Varminter is? Anyone own one of these or similar? I'm intrigued by them, but would prefer to have a 1:9 twist. I've heard all the Howa's are 1:12. C
Pizza Bob 1,488 Posted April 16, 2012 Are you talking about those chambered in .223? If so, the only place I found twist rates published was in the barrelled action section of their catalog and every .223 was listed as 1:12 - which would be suitable for varmint weight bullets: 35 gr to 50 gr Adios, Pizza Bob ETA - I have a Howa Axiom HB in .
Bully 749 Posted April 16, 2012 Hey Bob. Yes. I am looking at the .223. I am looking to be able to shoot the medium weight stuff, 55-60gr. Not gonna work for me. Thanks for the post. C
