I use the Henry 30-30 all weather for deer, so far my best shot was 130 yards with. 1-4 scope, Hornaday 160grn FTX. Love the rifle.

This this thing called the interwebs. It's like AMAZING! I've sent my parents pork roll from there for a few years now. Just in case you can't find any out that way. https://jerseyporkroll.com/ -
Congrats on escaping. Stock up on Pork Roll and good Pizza...

The temps aren't a lot different than here, lower humidity, a bit more snow in the winter, but not crazy amounts. Oddly enough, the panhandle has the mildest climate in Idaho, as it's around 2,000-2,500' above sea level, while most towns in Idaho are 3,500-7,500' above sea level. The high peaks get close to 13,000' I think the fishing is pretty good, I look forward to finding out. I knew they had salmon and a few varieties of trout in the panhandle, but apparently smallmouth and largemouth bass, perch, and a half-dozen other gamefish are common. And the northern pike get pretty big. That's the state record fish, caught last year in Hayden Lake-40.76 lbs, 49" long. I had no idea pike got that big. Yeah, the "Greater Idaho" movement is interesting. It shows how bad Oregon has gotten, that 2/3rds of the counties have voted for secession. Oregon won't let that much tax money go, unfortunately. I'm always impressed by the roads...I've never seen a pothole, the maintenance is impeccable. I guess that's what happens when a state actually spends the gas tax on road maintenance. I think the schools are pretty decent. Water everywhere and cheap hydro power! Thank you!
