AR Flash Hider/Suppressor Adj. Stock Legality

Recommended Posts

If you have a pistol grip you need to cut the bayonet lug, take off the flash hider, pin a compensator on, and pin the stock. BEFORE it enters NJ

it quickly becomes not such a good deal when you start adding all that up. I would look for something all ready in NJ.

LOL, yeah or challenge the miscreants that made the rules to a cage match.

Think I could weld it with my mig welder? Tiny tacks count right?

IIRC under the old ATF rules it had to be 1/2" of continuous Weld, or 4 tacks at 90Deg to each other to be considered "Permanant" NJ has never actually Specified WHAT Constitutes "Permanent Attachment" so the 94 AWB specs have always been used as the standard. Basically if they could put your bbl in a vise, and crank off the brake, it isnt "permanent..the Problem is, that if they use a big enough wrench, and enough torque, almost anything short of pinning will eventually shear..and if there is even one thread visible, they can charge you. All of that said, i SERIOUSLY doubt that anyone would ever actually go to that kind of trouble.

Alan,

Pin/weld, silver solder, or welded halfway is still the rules, but only for barrels under 16". ATF doesn't care about NJ law.

BTW, you picking up soon?
