Besides the IL ruling, looks like our high courts are just as divided as the country. Looks like a final 'hand-me-down' from the SCOTUS is virtually inevitable.

Might not have to. If the 4th circuit in the MD case rules the 2A applies outside the home, then it is likely the 3rd circuit in the NJ case will likely follow suit. With 3 Federal appeals courts ruling the same way, there would be no need for SCOTUS to hear the case.

 

May issue vs shall issue may have to go the Supremes. But if we win 2A applies outside the home, then the shall issue fight becomes much easier.

I can not see the courts ruling against "outside the home" , currently there are 40+ states that have a right to carry and shall issue. You don't think for a second that the free states are going to surrender their rights. SCOTUS has only way to rule on this and if they try to rule against the U.S. than that will cause a bigger problem in this country than in 1861.

It won't effect NJ unless they say all states will issue. CC is already allow here, they just don't issue any permits.
