nj22 2 Posted December 29, 2012 Looking mighty handsome in the new wood. Can't wait to see how these grips handle on the range, but that great CZ feel is definitely improved with wood. Also received a nice flashlight for the holiday. Thought I'd photograph them together since that seems to be the thing to do.
nj22 2 Posted December 30, 2012 No fans of the bi-color, huh?
Underdog 1,593 Posted December 30, 2012 I would have probably had preferred all dark wood such as the darker half of your grip, say American Walnut, but after seeing these on your gun, I'd say they look very nice. How are they in terms of thickness?
nj22 2 Posted December 30, 2012 I have fairly large hands, so I'm perhaps not the best person to ask. They're "thin" grips in name, however I'd say they are as thick as the CZ rubber grips and perhaps a hair thicker than the factory plastic.
njluger 5 Posted December 31, 2012 Nice! I like the grips. Where did you get them from and what kind of wood are they?
nj22 2 Posted December 31, 2012 CZ Custom shop. The site says they're cocobolo, and my hope is that they are natural--ie the color change is the point where the hardwood (dark) meets the sapwood (light). But I have no idea. The site also says they are sold out, but I've found that half of the "sold out" items are actually in stock if you call and ask.
