90 Day Clock on PPP

My permits were "issued" on 10/26 although I didn't actually receive them until a few weeks later thanks to Sandy. Now due to OGAM and the NICS processing delays I'm bumping up against the 90 day expiration to take possession of my 3rd handgun. I have already dropped off 2 others for extension, so want to avoid that if possible. Does anyone know the last date I can actually use the permit? I'm thinking 1/24 which is the 90th day starting with 10/27 as Day 1, but am worried it could be 1/23 which is tomorrow. I gave my background check info on Friday, just waiting for it to come back and wondering if I need to make a stop at the local PD tomorrow to ask for an extension.

get it extended, you havent been "approved" yet so your permit can expire while waiting just extend it to be safe.

Ive been told 3 different things during this fiasco, so i just go with my gut. No approval, then permit can expire during a transaction, get the extension.
