How Long Will an FFL Hold a Rifle

If I find the rifle I want before my FID comes in, how long will an FFL hold the rifle for me if at all? I am looking to get a Mosin and will be starting the process for the FID tomorrow or Saturday. So what happens if I find exactly what I want before it comes in?

If you pay for it in full, shouldn't be a problem.

Still tons of mosins out there if you just look hard enough specially in Pa. So get your FID first don't worry about the mosin

Call the FFL you want to use and ask them. Some won't care, others might, and some may charge storage fees if it's left for a long time.

FID is the hard part. Had one since I turned 18 (now in late 40's), I have been waiting for over 13 weeks just for a change of address. Sorry had to vent.
