22lr revolver question

So I bought a burgo mod 106s off my friends today and when I got home I realized that with snap caps it hits the rim along the outside. Is this an issue or normal for revolvers? I'm not a revolver guy so pardon me if this sounds silly

Normal. 22LR is a rimfire round meaning the primer compound is in the rim of the cartridge.

Fantastic, Thank you. I've only shot my SR22 and Nylon 66 before so I never really bothered to look at the primer strikes.

.22 snap caps are really just for function testing. Shouldn't fire them.
