NJ Mental Health verification

Hi Guys,

 

How long does it usually take to get the mental health information from Essex County ?  I'm told they still don't have mine, started the process 8/9/13.

I'm not sure if I'm stuck at the mental health check, but I started my process in Bloomfield (Essex county as well) in mid-July, both of my references received letters from Blfd PD after 2-3 days (even before I completed my fingerprinting), but I haven't heard anything from them yet. 

Frankly, I haven't even tried to follow this up with them as there are examples here in a thread about timings by PDs of Bloomfield PD processing apps for ~6 months. 

Lady in my PD when I was applying there advised me to realistically prepare for 2-4 months process...

Essex County's records were flooded in Superstorm Sandy.  There have been delays ever since.  Not sure of current status.  There are other past posts on this on this board.

Mikka1,  We're probably in the same boat, the only difference is that I already have my FID issued years ago, 

 

TBill1,  That would explain the delay for sure.  I do remember reading in those other threads that there is a person (lady) that we could call to inquire.  I couldn't find those other threads last night so I decided to ask.
