Turbotezza 1 Posted October 26, 2014 I'm looking for a 9mm carbine/rifle that has a cylindrical receiver for a special project. Think something like a the semi version of the Sterling/Sten SMG but with bottom feeding magwell. And it has to use Uzi/colt or Sterling/Sten mags. I've thought long and hard but I can't remember seeing a rifle of this type. Perhaps one of you can help?
High Exposure 5,664 Posted October 26, 2014 The Uzi mags are really gonna limit you. Look at the Suomi M31: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suomi_KP/-31 Carl Gustav M45/Swedish K: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suomi_KP/-
Turbotezza 1 Posted October 26, 2014 The Suomi would be a possible candidate, but I'd prefer (actually probably need) a gun with a magwell. And there is the 922r problem with the imported mags.

Turbotezza 1 Posted October 26, 2014 Don't think there is a civilian version of that.
High Exposure 5,664 Posted October 26, 2014 Probably not.... MP 40? S&W M76? How about a Tec-9? What are you looking to do?
mipafox 438 Posted October 26, 2014 Like this? http://www.brpguns.com/categories/Machineguns/Stemple-Takedown-Guns-(STG)/ Do you have a Stemple or DLO tube?
Turbotezza 1 Posted October 26, 2014 I'm going to try to make a version of this for fun. http://www.thefirearmsblog.com/blog/2012/11/16in-frankenstein-was-a-9mm-bullpup/
mipafox 438 Posted October 26, 2014 Get a sten kit and make your own tube. You can put the mag it wherever you want, that is the easy part. The semi fire control group and hammer would be the tricky part unless you butcher an existing semi sten or buy parts. They sell semi parts.
