djg0770 481 Posted May 27, 2009 I often wondered and I think I know the answer to this, but maybe you can clarify two questions. 1) If I were to purchase a rifle/shotgun in NC (A lot cheaper), how do I work that with NJ If I PLAN to keep it in my house ONLY? 2) IF I go into PA and buy handgun ammo and bring back to NJ, is that ok? I heard only dealers/resellers can not? I can't speak to #2, but regarding #1, are you buying it there and bringing it here or is it being shipped?? If shipped, it can only go to an FFL. If you're buying it there and you personally are transporting it here, you only need to fill out the certificate of eligibility (available on the NJ state police website), one copy for the seller and one copy for you and you are good to go. kenw 293 Posted May 27, 2009 I buy handgun ammo from gun shops and WalMart in PA all the time. No problems so far. Sometimes they ask for a DL, sometimes not. K
