  1. Here we go...thanks, M! I have my turret press and powder drop mounted to a board and I clamp it to the table when I'm ready to load.
  2. I need to work on my photo posting I'll get back to you...
  3. I bought a (hardly been) used CZ 452 Trainer not too long ago at the Phila Armory Gun Show. The Trainer has beech wood instead of maple. I paid $275 and it has become one of my favorite rifles. The iron sights are second to none. The American doesn't have iron sights, but the Lux and FS do. If you enjoy shooting with irons you might want to give them a look. You just can't go wrong with a CZ. Do yourself a favor and get one.
  4. I got some third-hand info that NRA made some recommendations and twp. seems to be okay with the shotgun and rifle ranges, but wants more improvements done to pistol range. Some think shotgun and rifle could open in early fall, nothing is official.
  5. I recently joined Telco - http://www.telcosportsmansclub.com/ - it's near Atco Raceway; off 206 near the Burlington - Camden County line.
  6. In and around the Pinelands some small municipalities allow shooting on one's own property if you are "X" feet from the nearest neighbor, etc. The other day I was the only person at the range I belong to and I could hear a local landowner shooting in his own yard. I also passed by a house in the Chatsworth area recently and the lady of the house was shooting targets set up in her driveway. Sometimes I forget I'm in NJ
  7. I hate to see anyone go before their time, especially with kids, but if you wear hearing aids you won't miss Billy. Not many on TV operating at his frequency.

    $300 !

Yes, it's like the old saying about teaching a man to fish. $300 will get you off to a good start reloading.
  9. Not here. I find that they work the best in my CZ 452 and BuckMark. Better even than CCI Minimags. Rarely a hiccup with the Dynapoints. Just lucky, I guess.
  10. Axeman, you are my new best friend! All four boxes were there this morning when they opened and I figured I might as well take the four. Boy, will I sleep good now. I should note that they had a bunch of 9mm which I didn't touch. There had to be at least 20 boxes and also a lot of .223. It looked like a shipment had just come in and they were unpacking boxes at the counter. Thanks again. I owe you one.
  11. Wow, I didn't know they have that policy now. I haven't ordered loaded ammo from them in a long time. This is another good reason to start reloading.
  12. I just got the notification and put my order in. 124 grain Remington FMJ. Midway also now offers flat rate shipping. I guess they heard the complaints. Good for them. Also notified that Ammoman has shotgun target loads available.
  13. I found this site regarding NJ WMA and shooting... http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/ranges.htm
  14. The Burlington store doesn't require it for shotgun shells; only handgun ammo, which they say includes .22. I work in Burlington City and there's a PA Walmart 5 minutes across the Burlington - Bristol Bridge. It simplifies things and it's only a $2 toll.
  15. I'm the director of a not-for-profit United Way Member Agency that provides services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. It sure is a diverse group that we have here!
  16. Maybe all is not lost here. I received an e-mail today from DJM simply saying, "Range clean-up scheduled for this Saturday morning at 10 a.m. Please try to attend." Keep your fingers crossed.
  17. Maksim, that's not the worst of it. I heard on 101.5 (Dennis Malloy) that they actually did a CSI on the goose and tied the pellet to his gun. This is indisputable proof that there are way too many people in law enforcement in NJ with not enough real work to do. Even by NJ standards, this is way over the top.
  18. Wow, any one of which could cause sudden death or mayhem. Thank goodness we're protected.
  19. I think the #1 reason for all the hassle is multiple sources of $$$$. It's another way to nickle and dime us to death. Maybe we should propose that CCW comes with an annual fee?
  20. Good to see another southern guy. Welcome from Burlington County!
  21. I think that certain firearms will continue to appreciate and be good investments. I didn't buy them with that in mind, but I have noticed that most have gone up appreciably in value. These would include quality military firearms like the Garand, the '03, M1917, and a few others. Also, you can't beat a stainless steel semi-auto or quality revolver (S&W, Colt, Taurus, etc.). You don't need to make them a safe queen either. I see where the 686 that listed for $650 a few years ago is now listing for over $900. I agree with Maxim; if you can buy a nice used one, you're way ahead of the game. I just got a gorgeous little SS S&W 66-3, 2 1/2" that didn't look like it had more than a few test rounds through it and was then put in a drawer for 20 years. I wish I could have as much fun with my mutual funds.
  22. Very nice pics. I had an almost the same, but opposite day - I took my CMP HRA Garand out in honor of Memorial Day and ended up being the only person at the range. I did win my match though!
  23. Delran Junior Marksmen, which is temporarily closed and Telco Sportsman's Club in Waterford Twp, Camden County.
