I'm Ready for February 1st
notmetoo replied to Pizza Bob's topic in Competitive & Fun Shoot Discussion
Show off. -
I have both the Raptor and the Gunfighter. Definitely go for the Raptor. However, if you don't want to spend $80+, the Gunfighter is an excellent second place.

This! My own fault for reading the whole thread. I'm enjoying the show. It's also the first one where I've heard a 1911 referred to as a "1911". Granted, he said "Colt .45 1911", but it's an improvement. Sent from my communicator using Tapatalk

Thanks, Damjan. Guess I'll go that route. I appreciate the advice. -

Resurrecting this old thread... So has anyone shipped a handgun through UPS recently? I just ran through the UPS website to get a quote, using a California address for delivery, and it came to over $90! Is that right? -
CREE flashlight $4.25 including shipping.

I bought these for each car in my family. Super bright and the beam can be focused. A steal for this price! -
I have to say... All these good things being said - I need to get one of these now! But which one?

Hey Ritgers95, Thanks for offering Blake's Tavor! And Blake, thanks for following up. The Tavor was the top of my list, so... let's see if I can get to CJ. Maybe this weekend? Thanks.

I have the Para Ordnance SSP. Very accurate, nice 1911. I plan on selling it, in fact I'm taking the pictures later today so I can post it. It looks like this one, but with VG grips, extended slide release, and wear marks: If you're interested, PM me and I'll let you know when I list it here.

Great Amercian Outdoor Show - Feb 1-9 Harrisburg, PA
notmetoo replied to T Bill's topic in Events & Meetups
I don't see a problem with no gun sales at this show. I see this more like the big auto shows and there are no car sales there. Does anyone know if SHOT or the NRA shows have gun sales? I'm looking forward to going this. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -

Yeah, I got slapped by the tax monster, too. But it showed up when I checked out. -

Got my BUIS' yesterday. TheTroy comes in a generic zip-closed bag, the Midwest in retail packaging. Overall, I'm very happy with these. -
And to the LEOs (and firefighters for that matter) here, thank you for your service.

Thanks! I've been looking for an excuse to go to the Woodland Park range and the MSAR is it. It's over an hour drive for me to get there. I'll also give RTSP a call. I appreciate the guidance.

I apologize if this came up in other threads. I did search, really! Anyhoo, does anyone know of a range that has bullpups available to rent? I have the itch, but never have shot one. I've held the Steyr AUG and am enamored of the ergonomics. I'm leaning toward a Tavor, though, since it will use my AR mags. Thanks!

My daughter wears the 457s (essentially identical to the 453s) and loves them. Yes, my daughter wears combat boots...

I thought the movie was a reliable translation of the book. Some drama was added, yes, but the wounds shown were based on autopsy reports, and the lack of a full description of Operation Red Wings (being a Marine op, etc) is inline with how the book presented it. Berg went for representing the incidents as written by Luttrell rather than a grander scale movie like "Saving Private Ryan" (which was fiction, after all.) I put this movie more in the category of "We Were Soldiers", my favorite war movie. All the services were well represented, I thought (except the Coast Guard, but I don't believe they had any role in the op). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
