I will have to try to remember. I still do believe the spike type bayonet/ knife is prohibited in NJ. I believe that it was Mr. Nappen who told me this.I am not 100%sure. I will have to look into it further. It also could have been an importation ban by the ATF like the MG kits needing a cut barrel now. This was like 3-5 years ago when I got my Chinese SKS. My Chinese SKS has no bayonet like almost all of the others Chinese SKS I had seen forsale at several gun shops in NJ at the time.I did see one or two with the normal type bayonet seen on the Yugo and Russian type.

I would trust my Sig 226 for CCW duty but I would like to use the Luger for dress occasions

I used to use one until I turned 21. Then I got a handgun for that role. I used to use a Mossberg 500 loaded with all the goodies and the 18.5" barrel.

Yes but, I believe the spike type bayonet is illegal to own in good old NJ. It probably falls under the knife laws.

Yeah he was a nosy and typical 1920's style shop keeper. I brought one thing there, out of desperation and that was the first and last time.

I love my G98/40 Rifle. It is a beautiful WW2 Hugarian produced rifle for the German Army. It makes the Mauser 98k look like a piece of trash.

So it does not say "M1 carbine" but, "US Carbine" then it should be ok?? Dealers order copies of the AK,M16,AR15, etc that are not illegal cause of the name on the reciever only. So what is the story with the M1 carbine copy? I guess anyone with a XM15,SAR 1-3,Wasr 10,etc should have the same fear of being a test case...
