  3. Welcome to the addiction. I have two 10/22's that only have a few original parts. A new trigger is highly reccomended the factory trigger si rough, especially when shooting 100 plus yards. Enjoy
  4. I just cut and pasted the info above. I am not involved in the planning of this shoot. I do know that any caliber except 50bmg is acceptable. I don't know how many stages there will be.

  6. All the shooting events at SJSC have been open to the general public. I am not aware of this policy being changed so as far as I know all are welcome.
  7. Sounds interesting so I think I'll check it out. Rifles, shotguns and pistols at varying ranges.
  8. Thin out the collection, I'll take some off your hands.
  9. Tru Glo TFO (Tritium Fiber Optic) I use them on my competition XD.
  10. Senica Rocks. There is a cave tour near Senica Rocks. Blackwater Falls. A lot of nice trails and backpacking in Monongeliha National Forest. (I probably spelled that wrong)
  11. Zeus, black horse pike in egg harbor township. Decent collection. They are pricey for some things. Butches gun world, landis ave in Vineland. Interesting shop. 10 pounds of stuff in a 5 pound shop but good selection. They are the only two I can think of within a half hour drive of mays landing. A little farther are: belleplIn supply, hands mill road in belleplain. Geared toward hunting but a decent collection. Bobs little sport shop, delsea drive in glassboro. A little bit of everything long gun, decreasing handgun supply. Www.arms-n-ammo.com PK90 on the forum. Not a place you can just stop by bu if there is something on the site that peaks your interest Paul will work with you. I've delt with him a few times and highly reccomend him. If your day tripping to the cape may area I love jus sports, mechanic street in cape may court house. Their gum section is not as big as the others but they have a decent selection and are a pleasure to deal with.
  12. It looks very interesting but I believe the 15 round rule still applies, so you would have to block that thing as well.
  13. All events at the South Jersey Shooting Club are open to the public. No need to be a member, know a member or have an invitation. You don't even need a gun as there is almost always someone who is willing to share.
  14. no, they would tell me I should have shot the cop. The police are tools of an opressive white govenrment therefore used to stomp on the rights of Americas miniorities. If yeti would have shot the cop the situation would have ended just as quickly as it would have if he shot the armed, opressed owner of an illegal firearm (also due to opression). Not the ones I want on my side.
  15. Good Story; Great job! I've been in Emergency Medical Services for more then half my life and I have seen some very interesting feats of human ignorance. You absolutely did the right thing. Securing a patients airway is the first and most important thing that anyone, from untrained lay person to super trauma doctor, can do. You were right about the pulse rate, and respiratory rate for that matter. If you don't have the equipment to intervene then they are just numbers. If the respiratory rate was desreased I certianlly wouldn't reccomend mouth to mouth on a bleeding stranger. "Don't move him" comes from the fear that there is a high cervical fracture and moving a patient with a high cervical fracture can knock out their respiratory drive if the spinal column is severed. While it is possible, a high cervical fracture is unlikely when falling from a chair or a standing position. "Diffusion of Responsibility" is a psychological theory (one of my favorites) that simply states, there more people there are to help, the less likely one it to receive help. People in crowded areas give themselves any number of excuses they can to not render aid. Universities have done extensive studies on the diffusion of responsibility and subjects have laid on the streets of Manhattan, LA, and DC asking for help and have not received any. On the flip side, they have laid on the streets of tiny little towns asking for help and have received almost instant aid. (fewer people to diffuse the responsibility to.) It is amazing to read. This is what prompted my thread. I have spent 18 years in a career that requires me to make life and death decisions in seconds sometimes with minimal information. Then I have to deal with the potential concenquences of those decisions, good or bad but always in my patients best interest. Less then 1% of the countries population would have stopped as you did, as I would have. Your combat lifesaver course worked.
  16. I was in my Man Cave (finished attac) last night cleaning some guns. I have a single window that looks down the street and over some income-assisted apartments. A noticed a police car with it's lights flashing in front of one of the apartments, (routine for this apartment). Out of curiosity I killed the lights and grabbed some binoculars to watch the events. A single officer was taking a subject into custody, the subject was not fighting the officer. I could also see into the apartments and noticed a few people standing on balconies watching the events unfold. Strange hypothetical situations occur in my brain from time to time. I began to wonder what I would do if the situation went bad. If someone on the balcony opened fire on the officer, what would I do. The apartment is about 400 yards away, from my vantage point I have a clear view. I own a Remington 700 suped up to be a tactical tack driving rifle. My scope is zero'd to 300 yards and on a clear calm morning I can shoot 2" groups at 300 yards. I could hit a person at 400 yards. If things got bad for the officer and their life was in immideate danger I think I'd eliminate the threat. I'm sure there would be legal hurdles after the shot, but I couldn't watch an officer get gunned down. What would you do? Do you have a tool and the ability to intervene?
  17. I have a P-17 Enfield from Eddystone, PA. I had it rebuilt because the original was in such horrible condition. It's one of my favorite guns to shoot and I love holding a piece from WWI.
  18. 34 in a few weeks.
  19. South Jersey Shooting Club. 840 Piney Hollow Road, Winslow Twp. Just off the Atlantic City Expressway.
  20. Copied and pasted from the official announcement. I am not Bill. Shooters, We are going to have our May match on the 8th. As usual we will have sign in at 8:30 and hammer down at 9:00 am. The cost is $15. This match we are going to have some serious fun with some challenging stages and of course some gaming stages that will sure to get the old blood pumping and wipe off the cabin fever from the winter months. We are going to have a 50/50 and some other prizes that are going to be given out at noon time, so be sure to get tickets early, $1 for one ticket and $5 for 15 tickets. My son will be selling soda and snacks for a school project so please help him out as he is not just there to carry my bags ;-D We are going to have some close to real life scenario's wile still having fun and safe day of shooting. I have been told by some shooters (mostly IPSC) that IDPA has a lot of rules, and we do mostly for safety and realism to the sport, but we go thru them with each and every shooter. So I hope you and anybody you know come out and give it a try, I am sure that once you try it you will be hooked like I was. The equipment is simple that you will need. Holster, mag pouch, at least 3 mags or speed loaders, a cover garment to conceal your gun and at least 50 rounds. The basic idea is to present yourself like you would be caring your gun concealed everyday. Well I hope you can make it out to the match. We shoot rain or shine but no thunder. Match directors will set the range up on Friday around 4pm. If you would like to help setup please contact a Me,Dom,Pat,Mike,Rob or Bill.M for details first. Thanks Bill R.
  21. Right now my wife is singing "Ba Ba Black Sheep" to our infant son.
  22. I was looking into land in WV. I'd love to have a cabin in a large track of land. WV is gun friendly and sparcely populated and hunter friendly. So the cabin would be a hunting location as well as a bug out location.
