  1. Stunning catch and sounds like a workout to land them! Enjoy!
  2. Wow, that's nuts. My condolences to anyone stuck in that mess.
  3. There's the whole problem right there. Wouldn't trust anything they had to say. See thread on them here: http://njgunforums.com/forum/index.php?/topic/22762-an-online-distributor-to-avoid
  4. Cool stuff, thanks for sharing. I think a good soundtrack for the m1919a4 videos would be an fast talking auctioneer counting up the ammo cost "sixtycents-sixtycents-sixtycents-sixtycents.....FOURTY-EIGHT DOLLAHHHHHHH!"
  5. Gunzilla - extremely mild smell, almost like hand soap. Good for general cleaning and lube, however I would not rely on it to clean a heavily leaded barrel.
  6. Is this Sunday the monthly new member orientation?
  7. Fascinating - doubt they'd work in a pump or semi shotgun though unless you placed each one by hand in the chamber. Apparently he's firing them through a modified choke without a problem.
  8. Yeah, I'll subscribe to that theory - get the gun nuts all fired up at the "glock and wesson" so they spread the video around. Either that, or the subtitle editor accidentally dropped their paper copy in a blender and tried to put it back together.
  9. Dunkelbergers is in East Stroudsburg: http://www.dunkelbergers.com/index.html
  10. Have the medium sized BCM handle. Pros - I don't worry that I'm going to bust it when I slam it with the palm of my support hand. Much easier to manipulate quickly with support hand. Cons - If you try to use it like a "regular" charging handle (index and middle fingers straddling the handle, one on each side), it may pinch your middle finger skin hard. As in blood blister hard.
  11. Agreed, and another member pointed out another aspect that I wasn't aware of. So will change the list to be just those that will ship into NJ.
  12. Starting this thread in the hopes that it becomes a sticky as the "where can I buy ammo" question seems to come up frequently. I'm not claiming this list exhaustive, nor am I specifically recommending any of the below retailers. If you know of others, please reply and I'll incorporate them in the list! List last updated 02/16/24 Online ammunition retailers that will ship to NJ: AIM Surplus - http://www.aimsurplus.com/ Ammo.net - http://www.ammo.net Ammo Bank - http://ammobank.com AmmoMan.com - http://www.ammoman.com/ Ammunition To Go - http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/ Bulkammo.com - http://www.bulkammo.com/ Cheaper Than Dirt - http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/ Dans Ammo - http://www.dansammo.com/Default.asp Freedom Munitions - http://www.freedommunitions.com Georgia Arms - http://georgia-arms.com/ Glen's Army Navy Store - http://www.glensoutdoors.com Graf's - http://www.grafs.com/ The Guns and Gear Store - http://www.thegunsan...e.com/index.php J & G Sales - http://www.jgsales.com/ LAX Ammunition - http://www.laxammo.com/ LG Outdoors - http://lg-outdoors.com/ Lucky Gunner - http://www.luckygunner.com/ MidwayUSA - http://www.midwayusa.com/ - NOTE - As of April, 2012 Midway appears to be inconsistent about shipping handgun ammo to NJ. 13. I live close to that station (near Merck facility in Summit) and it is indeed an anomaly. That station has *always* had gas prices that are ~$1.00 above prevailing prices, including back during the gas spike in '08. I read a local paper article about the station once - from what I remember the owner had a fight with Exxon over some franchise term - he still has the franchise, but Exxon is trying to force him to give it up by gouging him on gas sales. He simply reflects that in his pump prices and obviously sells little to no gas. Service work and used car sales are his mainstay. If you'll notice, the parking lot at that station is nearly always full of cars either awaiting service or being sold. Supposedly he does a lot of auction sales of used cars.
  14. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/549408-REG/Trijicon_TA31RCO_M4CP_4x32_ACOG_USMC_Rifle.html Must "add to cart" to see price, and it is indeed $999
  15. Arggg, if only I'd stopped in and checked the forum one more time before I left! Yep, range work weekend, everything was closed. Oh well, all wasn't lost, went to a friend's place to shoot on private land instead.
  16. Going to be there from Noon - 2:30 or so. Wearing grey sweatshirt and green hat, say hi if ya see me.
