  1. My goodness I'm filling out a character reference sheet for my friend and besides some of these unbelievable questions, it says it has to notarized....really? It also asks about physical defects? Wth does that mean? Isn't that considered profiling and its ironic how un-politically correct that is for a government agency. This sheet is a pathetic joke and I for one find it insulting. Anyway, can someone confirm notaries are now required for me to do....
  2. That's the main point...these laws only effect the honest, law abiding citizen. Criminals will never obey the law, they'll buy everything illegally leaving the law abiding citizen empty handed following Unconstitutional and illegal laws. It's simply a way to erode the ability for law abiding people to defend themselves. A controlling government can't control people that can defend themselves...it's that simple.
  3. What about the "transportation" law? For example, my daughter is 21 and has a handgun in her trunk and drives to Doylestown,PA. Can she simply take the gun out of the trunk, strap it on and walk around? I thought that without a LTCF or a CCW from a reciprocating state, the law becomes the same as NJ? I know if a NJ resident has a FL CCW they can have their firearm in plain view, loaded while in their vehicle, then open carry anywhere in PA with the exception of any city of the first class. But without any CCW/LTCF it's only to and from the range, no stops? Correct?
  4. Hence, you're the problem with NJ. Government can resolve problems and people are too stupid to think for themselves. Once you have government involved with everything, you must go through government for everything. You don't understand what America is all about. It's about the individual taking responsibility for their actions and their lives. You're letting the 1% "screw ups" dictate the law for the other 99% of us. You're buying into the mantra that "government is the answer". It's thought processes like this that screw up this country. Go ahead, let the government handle it instead of someone at the range teaching and showing or for crying out loud, maybe you could help and teach someone instead of pawning it off to some government bureaucrat every time. Society is "dumbed" down because of this backwards thinking. Go ahead, have government force us into safety and see where it gets us...Sheesh!
  5. This is one reason we need to be in the public's eye and let people know about this witch and the damage she's doing. Bloomberg bought her way into her position...I can't stand either of them. BTW, how come these Anti-American liberals can push stuff through in a matter of weeks that destroy our rights yet politicians that protect the oath they took takes a lifetime?
  6. I don't like this one at all: "In addition, the database will eventually include all involuntary commitment records dating back to 1975, which will bring the total number of records sent to NICS to anywhere between 500,000 and 800,000." So if you did something stupid in 1975 and now you 55 years old you can't get a firearm? Also, this is a slap in the face regarding the renewal of FOID cards: "There was some sentiment among Task Force members that funding for such improvements should be secured by ensuring that the costs of gun ownership are borne by gun owners and not subsidized by taxpayers." I know they go on to say it's a Constitutional right and leave it to the governor, but they are proposing all this crap then want you to pay for it. What's this all about? We recommend that this law be strengthened to make certain that the surrender of the firearms purchaser identification card actually happens. Toward that end, we believe that a court should be required at the time of conviction or civil commitment to determine whether the person has been issued a card and if so, to order its immediate surrender, along with the surrender of any firearms that the person may own, unless the card and firearms had already been surrendered at an earlier stage of the judicial proceedings. See Recommendation 1.4. This is so vague it's scary. -American Medical Association Journal of Internal Medicine (JAMA Report, cited at page 5, supra) noted that guns are the most common method of suicide overall and teen suicide in particular, and that increased accessibility to loaded unlocked guns is associated with an increased risk of suicide. Suicide rates are lower now than they were in the 1950's. This is such a BS report I have to stop reading it.
  7. But don't worry, it's only scare tactics to raise money... SARCASM!!!!!! We need to ALL wake up. I have no idea what we are to do, but we better think long and hard about the harsh reality of what's happening. http://www.ammoland.com/2013/04/new-york-gun-confiscation-underway/#ixzz2PtAjZhJg (From ammoland) There’s just one huge problem it is happening now in New York State! It seems those that tried desperately to warn of such an insidious plot had hit the bullseye with their warnings after all. News came from multiple NY State based firearms enthusiast websites late Friday that confiscations of Pistol Owner ID Cards, as well as firearms and accessories has commenced in NY under the provisions of the horribly flawed, draconian and blatantly unconstitutional NY SAFE Act. Those folks having their weapons and FID cards confiscated have been discovered to have been prescribed multiple different types of psychotropic drugs, such as those for Depression or Anxiety. These are known as SSRI ( Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors) class drugs and have the potential to cause serious and adverse side effects, something I wrote about extensively last week in an article that went viral in days and caused multiple Anti Gun and Progressive News Groups to initiate a concentrated denial of service hacker attack against Ammoland Shooting Sports News (see Daily KOS ” Keeping Track Of The RKBA Crowd” http://tiny.cc/ug67uw), in an effort to keep the information from the public. From the NY firearms site: http://www.nyfirearms.com/forums/laws-politics/51155-nys-police-departments-revoking-pistol-permits-because-anti-anxiety-meds.html This is hot off the press. I have first-hand knowledge that local NYS police departments are revoking pistol permits of those who are "blown-in" by the medical community for being prescribed anti-anxiety medications (for those who are in therapy for anxiety or depression), under the gray shroud of the UNSAFE Act. This is happening now folks, and it is likely to get worse. EVERYONE needs to be aware of this, for the sake of keeping their pistol permit in NYS. Please spread this information around - Facebook, Twitter, by every means possible. We need to get the word out as quickly as possible. If anyone faces such an ordeal with their pistol permit, or you know anyone in the future who faces this issue, you are urged to email [email protected]. It doesn't matter where you are located in NY. By all means use this thread to discuss - this is something that was mentioned as a potential major issue with the new laws signed by Cuomo, and it's becoming reality.
  8. The American political system is different than world has ever seen. We're a Representative Republic and these elected officials WORK for us. We've gotten' so far off course that elected officials and society has bought into the mantra that these people are elitists that are put into the position to rule us.....However, that's not the case. 40% of what I earn goes to these corrupt, lying snakes and I have a right to air my complaints, concerns and opinions how I deem. They took an oath to Represent me and others in my area. But they also took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. So who's the radical? The person abiding by the law and questioning those they elected to a position and do a job they promised or the elected that swore a "Libertarian" oath with NO intention of abiding by their promise?
  9. The morons in that state blow $60 million on illegal/corrupt policies in a few weeks, yet the AP (state press) will try anything to make freedom loving, law abiding citizens look bad. I remember a photo comparison of the 8/28 (Conservative) rally and the 10.2.10 (liberal) rally... the 8/28 was cleaner and neater than when we got there. The 10.2.10 rally cost hundreds of thousands in trash clean up and damage. http://www.hapblog.com/2010/10/glenn-beck-828-rally-vs-one-nation-102.html
  10. Here: http://forum.pafoa.org/pennsylvania-10/213893-morrisville-pa-anti-gun-rally-may-11-a-page-10.html#post2357802 Posts have all details. If a Jersey cop pulls you over on your way back, tell him you were carrying your firearm at my OC picnic....
  11. I have been contemplating this for quite some time. I do have a safe and lockable storage for my ammo. However, I decided on something "indestructible" that can be easily accessed by me/wife in an emergency. Buy a heavy, solid safe. Get it into the closet, lag it and fill it so it's too heavy to move. This way there is no way to get it out or get it opened. The other thing I need to do is get my spare safe and put it in another location in case of fire, confiscation, robbery with a crane or whatever so I don't lose everything.

  13. Please see below. Lets join forces together. We'll meet on the other side of the bridge then try to get together afterwards. We countered them in Doylestown over the weekend and I believe we had more than them....we had a great turnout for last minute local event. At least 100 to maybe 200. We need our wives to show up as well and kids. They need to see that when they deny us to right to defend ourselves and family they'll be responsible for the consequences. http://www.peacecoalition.org/news-and-events/452-pre-mothers-day-march-a-rally-vs-gun-violence.html The Coalition for Peace Action (CFPA) is sponsoring a Pre-Mother's Day March & Rally vs. Gun Violence on Saturday, May 11 starting around 1:30 PM with an initial Rally in Trenton, then marching over the Trenton Makes Bridge for a concluding Rally in Morrisville, PA. Save the date, further details forthcoming. Pre-Mothers Day March & Rally vs. Gun Violence Saturday, May 11 starting early afternoon, details being finalized soon From Trenton, NJ to Morrisville, PA including a March across the Trenton Makes Bridge Confirmed Speakers (list in formation) -----------------------------------------------
  14. When I lived in NJ (Evesham) the police officer told me (2009) they were doing 2-3 foid cards per week before the 2008 election. Less than a year later they were doing 5-6 per day. Also, since we have moved to PA, some of our 2A friends and Non 2A friends have applied for FOID cards in NJ,they were astounded and down right upset at the process. Like you said it really woke them up when they realized that all I had to do was produce ID, have a PICS check and move on. It actually boggled their minds. I told them literally 46-47 states do it this way. The look on their faces pretty much told how they felt and the response everytime is" unbelievable... Utterly unbelievable." Then they go on to say " how can we change this, I've been waiting 3 months." I send them to this site and have them look up nj2as. Anyway, keep up the fight, we're all in this together. The only other silver lining is people are waking up NOT ONLY IN NJ but in the rest of USA.I seem to be running into more and more 2a friendly people. Also, if the ammo, gun and other shortages don't signal there's a concern I don't know what will. Also, 59% of the population was for stricter gun control after sandy hook, now it's at 44%. However, we need that number in the teens. We still have a lot of work to do.
  15. Trying not to freak out but this is the main reason we have these problems in this country. Making government the provider, decision maker and arbiter of rights is against what private property ownership and personal responsibility is all about. Once again the so called "good intentions" of the government is the most dangerous to liberty. This is why NJ is a full blown nanny state and you have come to believe it and buy into it. Just remember, when a health professional deems religion, libertarianism and freedom as a sickness they'll have the power to take what you have. Thomas Jefferson gets it right:" I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery". Please, we need to get back to personal responsibility and you can't have a controlling government nanny state and personal responsibility under the same roof. Which system do you want?
  16. I wish she only looked that good. It's an insult to the "thing" in the portrait.
  17. Did you ever notice how the media "leaves" Mark Levine alone? He does not put up with BS and threatens progressives with lawsuits if they attack him. See, the only way to stop a bully is to stand up to them!!!!
  18. I contest, in 1987 only 10 states allowed (shall issue) carry. In 1992 crime/homicides peaked to its highest levels. Since then 41 states have "shall issue" for citizens to carry. Violent crimes/Homicide have dropped every year since 1992 and to 1965 levels in 2012. There's your "justifiable need"! I feel the following should be done: “.....if you elected or appointed officials pass laws which are in direct violation to the USA Constitution, then you have broken your oath of office and therefore have broken the most fundamental law of the land...the Constitution ... and should any one citizen be harmed, violated by a criminal, then you too are guilty because you have aided and abetted the perpetrator....some day soon, all elected and/or appointed public servants will be held accountable for their actions stemming from their voting records........” I am sure most have heard the story of the very liberal Judge who went easy on criminals.....that is, until his wife was mugged !!!
  19. Buy a TSA approved guitar case and carry it into the hotel...Put a bunch of "Gibson, Fender and Yamaha" stickers on it....just hope no one asks you to play.
  20. That's a good point. HIPPA laws are in place for this very reason and can not be released unless the patient offers to volunteer this information. Meaning, the PATIENT can only give out this information not the doctor, nurse, etc. Kind of like the police doing a background check and asking the bank to give him your account numbers and access to your accounts and all activity for a simple application . The bank can't do it, but you can offer this information if you'd like to..... but why?
  21. I think it's time to start getting true Conservatives that run on the Democrat's platform in NJ. As the Conservative campaigns, use the same talking points as the Dem and promise all kinds of FREE stuff. Once he/she gets into office, be the Conservative that he/She is! Which is the oath they took...The Constitution. I guess the Conservative could simply say "I believed everything I campaigned on until I took a Constitutional oath then realized everything I campaigned on was not Constitutional". Hey, the Dems do it all the time and a lot of Republicans. It's time we play their games....
