  1. The people who buy into this are the uninformed. Like my 89 year old mother. If she sees something like this on TV she will believe every word of it because she does not know any better. No one is telling the other side of the story. The NRA spends too much time preaching to the chior. They need to reach out and inform the general public.
  2. You can go online and get forms for a records check on yourself from the state police and can do so for the town it happened in. See what comes up. I know somone who had a shoplifting charge many years ago and did not show up on the records checks and it was much cheaper then a lawyer.
  3. They say the difference between a BMW and a Porcupine is that the Porcupine has the pricks on the outside.
  4. The problem is you don't end up with "A KNIFE" you end up buying lots of knives.
  5. The politicians get it but their primary concern is to get re-elected and the voting base in NJ is an anti gun majority. So they are not going to ack anything that might not get them re-elected.
  6. I had a Bob Allen , just gave it to some guy who works at the Picatinny Arsenal. It was brand new I never used it. He used it recently and said it worked well.
  7. Personally I am much more worried about senario #3. Someone broke in my house when I was not home and is waiting there for me or my family to get home.
  8. Hmmm, I have been unemployed for a while and cannot find a good job but If I join a violent gang NJ will find one for me ??????
  9. Having attended the St. Patricks Day parade in Nutley over the weekend. I am wondering if there is a "Parade Exemption" for dagger carrying. Many of the Pipe and Drum corps members had a scottish dagger (sgian-dubh) tucked in their socks. It has always been my understanding daggers were a big no-no in NJ. Does being in a parade constitute a valid reason for carrying a dagger ?
  10. I haven't been there in over a year but last time I was in Meltzers they were charging an additional Fee on top of the transfer fee for guns you order elsewhere and have sent there. This applies only to guns they can get for you. I don't know if they are still doing so but as I remember the fee was $100.00. Again it was over a year ago.
  11. Any mason I ever hired was not free
  12. What do you mean by "junk swords" are you referring to the quality of the swords or that they sell only swords. Just curious as to why you made that statement.
  13. I would not risk my life for Walmart or any other establishment I worked for. There is nothing in a retail store worth a human life. Unfortunatly these guys thought they were doing a good thing only to get the shaft from walmart. If Walmart praises their actions others may follow the example with vastly different results. They should have let the guy leave and said thanks for shopping at Walmart.
  14. I always wanted to buy one of those until I saw this one http://www.atlantacutlery.com/p-2219-british-wwi-robbins-and-dudley-push-dagger.aspx
  15. I had similar thoughts a few years ago. I ended up with a winchester model 70 in .375 H&H mangum. Gotta stop reading Capstick.
  16. Kult of Athena has some really great deals on swords in their "sale" section. Sale is on till the end of the month. www.kultofatnena.com
  17. Sorry about no pictures. I ordered oit from the cold steel special projects web site under the seconds and closeouts section. Only $7.99 but shipping is 10 bucks flate rate so I just had to order 2 . http://www.ltspecpro.com/saxmachetes.html
  18. The nice UPS man delivered my 12" cold steel sax machete today. I wasn't quite sure what to expect but it looks to be a useful tool. Not too big, great handle and stiff thick blade. Can't wait to hack something with it.
  19. What's the reasoning behind retired police officers carrying a gun anyway ? People they arrested might come back to get them ? They can prevent crime ? Sorry but I think everyone should be afforded the same right to personal protection.
  20. I have a 3 year old so all of my guns except a glock 26 are kept in a safe. I have pondered the idea of having it painted pink with yellow flowers. I figure it would look less evil to a jury then a completely black one.
  21. I thought the same thing about the teeth. I want to try making one but it's too damn cold to go out to the garage and try. I figure I can knock them down a bit on the sander.
