I know I rather have a bayonet coming at me then a loaded gun so what's the reasoning behind banning it? Stupid ban (just like all the other "evil" features)

Five Muslim soldiers arrested over Fort Jackson poison probe
SpecOps2087 replied to Malsua's topic in General Discussion
+1 No, they will break grandma's b@lls at the airport but let Mahmid walk right on by! It wasn't 19 Polacks that brought down the towers, it was guys with names like Abdul and Nasir. And now taking nude pictures of us all but the second a muslim walks by, "oh go right ahead sir." We're doomed -
alright, thanks

How many times will it take before we can start profiling... Yes not every muslim is a terrorist but every current day terrorist is muslim -
I read this in another forum and was wondering if there is any truth to it: "New York and other N/E states have aspects that are more restrictive, but take New Jersey for example... they can have up to two "evil features" on an AR and still have a detachable magazine (note, bayo lug is an evil feature per NJ, since they follow the guidelines of the federal ban)." I was under the impression a detachable mag was an "evil feature" here in NJ? I hope it's not as I would like to keep my adjustable stock actually adjustable

Double check with your police station, mine only charged me 18 dollars for two permits and I'm finally picking them up tomorrow. -
S-69, citizens' protection act
SpecOps2087 replied to SpecOps2087's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
^^ Good to hear After reading it, I can't how anyone in the right mind, could deny such a bill. If it happens (which it probably will), legal action will be the only way after incorporation -- at least we know there are people on our side in NJ -
Haven't applied for permits since OGAM went into effect...

This was posted on the njhunter forums: "Restore gun-carry rights in New Jersey Monday, February 15, 2010 At least 40 states allow sane law-abiding citizens to complete a simple screening process to obtain a permit to carry a firearm for self-defense. New Jersey continues to treat its good citizens like criminals, but that may finally change. State Sen. Mike Doherty, R-Warren-Hunterdon, has introduced the Citizens' Protection Act, Bill S-69, which will revise and simplify the procedures for securing a New Jersey carry permit. The bill was referred to the Law and Public Safety Committee, chaired by state Sen. John A. Girgenti, D-Passaic. Nothing will happen with the bill unless Girgenti posts it for a vote, and his past voting record suggests he's no friend of gun owners. He will post it if enough people contact him and request it. His office is at 507 Lafayette Ave., Hawthorne, NJ 07506, phone is 973-427-1229. Ask him to restore our constitutional rights by posting Bill S-69 as soon as possible." Anyone know anything about this? Is this the same as A1384?

I agree. I'd never tell a business how to run their store but that's DOUBLE the price of my dicks store (which doesn't even stock that much ammo). I understand ammo prices fluctuate as well but not 50%. My dicks has had their 9mm ammo at 15 bucks a box for I can't even remember how long. If this is off topic, feel free to delete

Can only apply for one permit?
SpecOps2087 replied to Celraysoda's topic in Current New Jersey Gun Laws Discussion
Well before this 1 gun a month BS (not but 2 months ago), I could get a permit in under a week. I just called my local PD and they said they are still waiting on the state police so that's where the hold up is. However, it's not just civilians. My uncle (ex-cop) has been waiting just as long as I have and he could get them in days prior to january of this year. -

I'm glad we're going to sue NJ over this. No one knows wtf is going on and is slowing everything down. I STILL havn't recieved my permits yet and it's going on a month now -- and I bet it's because I requested 2 -
I was actually wondering about those rifles, thanks for the info. It was pretty cool to watch them. After skiing what seems like forever, you also have to pull off, not 1, but 5 hard shots. Crazy

Look, the repubs can say "we need tort reform...open the state lines.." or do whatever...until they actually write a damn bill implementing these things, they are just playing the "I'm the victim" bs. As maksim has said, both sides are being a royal pain in the ass right now.

I prefer formula 1, WRC, road racing, etc. Though watching 1/4 mile is fun as well but not a huge NASCAR fan other then the final few laps

So what'd ya get the Missus for Valentine's Day?
SpecOps2087 replied to Circlesqr's topic in General Discussion
Chocolate, teddy bear, card, flowers, and now cooking dinner. She bought me a video game in return -
I agree, though I wouldn't be paranoid and shelter my kids like that.

I was too young to vote for or even against him, but I've always liked the guy. Whenever he talks, he always sounds very intelligent and genuine. Hoping for the best
