@lexcruiser whats the folding knife you have in the background of your pic?
  2. I wouldn't recommend Pro Mags. My experiences with them in my CZ have been less then stellar. I experienced feeding issues with almost every mag full I put through it. A better choice for the PPQ, would be the magazines available from Magnum Research made for the MR Fast Action( P99 clone). www.magnumresearch.com/Expand.asp?ProductCode=MAGFA915 They're made in Italy by Mec Gar, so you know they are high quality. I believe they are actually the same mag as the Walther mags, except they say Magnum Research on the base plate.
  3. Have you seen these sights from10-8 performance? They look pretty nice. I like the plain black rear and brass bead front. http://www.10-8performance.com/products/S%26W-M%26P-Front-Sight.html http://www.10-8performance.com/products/S%26W-M%26P-Rear-Sight.html
  4. Yes, all new Sig slides are milled stainless.
  5. Just wanted to let everyone know how this ended. I sent in the defective rounds and within about a week I received a nice apology letter from Remington indicating that the issue was caused by a jam at the bullet insertion station on their loading equipement. They also included a reimbursement check to cover the cost of 2 new replacement boxes of ammo. Pretty nice gesture in my opinion. +1 for Remington Customer Service!
  6. Interested to hear if and how this was resolved for you. Any news back from S&W?
  7. The thing that turns me off from .380, the gun maybe cheap, but the ammo isn't. 380 is almost always more expensive than 9mm and usually a lot less in supply. Also, I think anything less than 9mm is usually less versatile. So if she decides she wants to get into things like IDPA or other games, she wont be able to use that gun for it.
  8. Heritage Guild in Easton, PA allows shotguns on their range...buckshot only. No slugs or birdshot.
  9. Anyone ever use this stuff? The 9mm 115gr FMJ case price looks like a fantastic deal if you get in on the pre-order price of $159.00: http://www.jackrossa...DED.html?page=1 Shipping is a flat $12.95 as well.
  10. Hey Chris, got a friend that's interested in the P-01. PM inbound!

    FN or Beretta

Yes, FNH makes 10 round mags for the FNX 9 and 40. You can even order an FNX 9 w/ 10 round mags from Buds: http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/78890/FN+66836+FNX9+9MM+10RD+BLKBLK I emailed FNH-USA a while back and they confirmed the existence of 10 round 9mm mags. I'm sure if you contact them, they can provide you with the part #.
  12. Quick update. I received a nice letter from Remington's Product Services for their Ammo Plant. It had a pre-paid FedEx label in it. Sending off the bad rounds to Remington for remediation. What I liked in Remington's note to me, they said, "We are very interested in hearing customer comments, negative or positive. Whatever the issue, when a product is returned, every effort is made to identify the root cause of the problem." I like their approach so far and they've been very good in the communications. Let's see how they "fix" this.
  13. Glad there was no tragedy here. It's sad in this day in age, but it's better to be cautious with all the crazy things going on. I hope they get the a**hat that phoned in that original call.
  14. To any members in Hackettstown, stay safe! There's a report of an armed man running around. The High School has been put on lock down (http://www.hackettst...ite/default.asp) and people I know at Centenary College are getting alerts via the college's alert system. http://jefferson.pat...hackettstown-hs
  15. 228s were never made with Stainless slides, only the classic stamped carbon steel slides. It probably was nickle finished.
  16. Not sure Best case, it'd fire and feed just fine. But, with deformed case mouth, I would be afraid of a problem feeding into the chamber at an in-opportune time.
  17. Got it from AIM Surplus. They have pretty good deals on it.
  18. No worries! Yeah, I've had crap luck with Remington UMC green box stuff, but their Golden Sabers have been pretty solid for me so I was a bit surprised to find this.
  19. No, it was more like 4 rounds in a 25 round box...at the premium you pay for JHP ammo, you expect their QC to catch stuff like this.
  20. Surefire put out a nice shot timer for iphone users and it's been in iTunes for some time now. I used it once with my buddies iphone and it worked surprisingly well! http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/shottimer/id295005845?mt=8
  21. I'm pretty careful about actually inspecting every round (factory or reload) prior to loading it up into a magazine. So far, I've had a perfect string of ammo - not one seemed out of spec until today! I was going through a box of Remington Golden Sabers I have at home and found a few rounds with bent case rims like the one below in one box. Goes to show that even "premium" factory ammo can have QC issues. I've contacted Remington and so far they've been very responsive, which is great!
  22. On the surface, it may look like there aren't any good alternatives - but there are many, most base on open source standards! Just to name a few I use... Google Search -> duckduckgo.com Gmail -> Fastmail.fm Google+ -> well, you don't value you privacy anyway if you participate in social media sites like that Google isn't the only solution out there, just like Microsoft was't the only operating system a few years ago!
  23. My order is coming through in separate order. Last week I received 2 boxes of ammo, today I received 4...at this rate, I get'em and shoot 'em
