  1. Can the SS media be used in a dry tumbler? The tumbler from Dillon is a dry one. I read your post on the SS media and looked great, but not sure if it will work on a dry media tumbler.
  2. Shane, thanks for the link. Very enlightening. I think I will go for the 550 first. I have seen videos of the 550 and looks simple enough and I don't plan on loading more than several hundred rounds per month. Also cash saved could start pistol calibers sooner. I will eventually reload all 5 calibers I currently own, and whatever I buy in the future.
  3. I believe NJ receives less in Federal aid per tax dollar paid to the US gov't then PR does. That is the benefit NJ gives. Federal Tax Burdens and Expenditures: New Jersey is a Donor State New Jersey taxpayers receive less federal funding per dollar of federal taxes paid than any other state. Per dollar of federal tax paid in 2005, New Jersey citizens received approximately $0.61 in the way of federal spending.
  4. "Let them hate so long as they fear" Unfortunately they don't fear us as we play civilized. We fight with one hand behind our back, and have since WWII.
  5. Hi Shane, I was going with what Vinny recommended. What do you see as a draw back on starting with the 650 besides being a little more complicated? You are correct that I am a newbie, but I am also mechanically inclined. I hate buying twice and would rather cry once but again I am looking for advise, so if there is a major reason not to go with the 650 I definitely appreciate the suggestions (not to mention the cash savings) . I have watched a ton of videos on youtube, but have no hands on experience. Thank you for your help.
  6. Wow, beautiful dog. I had one who looked just like him for 14 years (Josh) who was also a rescue. Always great with kids, and loved chasing bears and deers (lived in Pa.) Always my best friend. Good luck and enjoy.
  7. Okay, So I'm going to be purchasing some reloading equipment from Vinny of Hunting World. I've never tried reloading before, but ammo is so expensive! So I am going to get a Dillon 650, etc. Vinny made me a great list, of needs and wants. So my question is I plan on reloading 5.56 (55gr and Sierra 77gr) and .308 Sierra 175 gr. What type of powder and primers do you recommend? I have the Lyman's reloading book coming for Father's Day (a present) so I am looking for info from anyone who loads similar rounds. Thanks,
  8. Don't you just love it when people use the hard fought and died for right to protestand protest the very people who fought for there right. They should live in a "lock step" country. Then they would wish for the American servicemen.
  9. It's funny how the soldiers are "commit murder" and the suicide bombers are heroes. Like the bomber killed 12 women and children, but he was a good person. Amazing how brain washed (brain dead) these people are.
  10. Couldn't they just get that info from our FID cards? That has all the same info on it already. Most FID holders are NRA members.
  11. I have the 226 in .40 and it's a great gun. Used to shoot the 226 in 9mm back in the day. Same great gun. I don't go to BH but if you want to go to CJR&P I'd be happy to let you give it a whirl.
  12. I bought the mold-able ones from Dick's. They work pretty good, much better then the foam.
  13. Bryan I will be going there this weekend if you want to check it out. Not sure if it's gonna be Sat. or Sun. Let me know, as I think it's a great place to shoot.
  14. Wow that video is amazing when the took the RPG out. It's people like the medical staff, helo pilot, and EOD that make you proud to have been part of our military and proud to be American. The only way to defeat us is to let the politicians run things because the fighting spirit of our military is second to none.
  15. Shane, The turrets have 3 allen screws in them the problem is the turret doesn't go all the way down. There is no zero stop, so you can spin the turret too far down and be below zero if that makes any sense.
  16. Not to hijack the thread, but I just bought the 10x SWFA and am wondering the same thing. I sent SWFA an email and have not received an answer back. Let me know if you figure it out and I'll let you know if I hear back from them. I agree the scope is nice for the price point. Not as nice as my Leupold, but less then 1/3 price.
  17. That's one fine six shooter on that hard tail steed. Love the sheriff's car in the background.
  18. That would be great, but would they actually try and stop them. We here in the USA know enough about how well rhetoric works, sort of like our gun laws.
  19. Iran's navy offers to escort Gaza ships Official: Elite Revolutionary Guards are prepared to intervene http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37537320/ns ... tn_africa/ TEHRAN - Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards are ready to provide a military escort to cargo ships trying to break Israel's blockade of Gaza, a representative of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Sunday. "Iran's Revolutionary Guards naval forces are fully prepared to escort the peace and freedom convoys to Gaza with all their powers and capabilities," Ali Shirazi, Khamenei's representative inside the Revolutionary Guards, was quoted as saying by the semi-official Mehr news agency. Any intervention by the Iranian military would be considered highly provocative by Israel which accuses Iran of supplying weapons to Hamas, the Islamist movement which rules Gaza. The Guards, with their own navy, air force and command structure separate from the regular armed forces, are seen as fiercely loyal to the values of the Islamic Republic. "If the Supreme Leader issues an order for this then the Revolutionary Guard naval forces will do their best to secure the ships," Shirazi said. "It is Iran's duty to defend the innocent people of Gaza." Last Monday Israeli troops killed nine activists on board one ship in a convoy trying to deliver aid to Gaza, sparking international outrage, especially in Muslim countries. Another ship was boarded on Saturday and pro-Palestinian activists have promised more as they challenge the blockade imposed four years ago with the stated aim of stopping arms getting to Hamas. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel will continue to stop ships reaching the shore and creating "an Iranian port in Gaza," a reference to Iran's support for Hamas. It will be nice to see Iran get smoked by the Israelis.
  20. I was there this morning, trying to sight in a new Remington 5R. The wind was about 20+ kts and variable. Hard looking through the spotting scope with that wind. I was able to get it close, and will fine tune it next time on a calmer day. I was the only person on the high power range for 2 hours. Made it real easy to set targets and check shoots. The place is great, as I never see it crowded.
  21. Welcome, I joined two months ago. I usually go on the weekends as I have to work, . I'll be heading there tomorrow morning. I haven't missed a weekend yet. Sometimes twice in a weekend
  22. These are free float that install without FSB or muzzle break removal. But free is a relative term when they cost about $300. http://www.vltor.com/casv-m.htm
  23. He was saying on XM this morning that there's a range way out on Long Island that he can go. He also mentioned he got a Leupold Mark 4 for it, but not the specific model. Figure out which the most expensive one is...that'll be the one he bought. heh. I believe that's Calverton. Have friends who shoot there once in awile. Friends father has a Barret. I think it goes out to 300 yards.
