  1. My guess is two QB's. That will make how many?
  2. LOL...My bad. Didn't realize you write talking 22cal. Mines a 308. The Beretta comment was just from my reading of forum threads by Sako owners. I've shot Beretta shotguns for 35 years and can't say anything bad about them. Maybe the Finn's are just pissed
  3. I just bought a used TRG-22 but have yet to shoot it. The guy I bought it from was a retired LE sniper and this was his service rifle. He had great things to say about it. I'll post a range report if I ever get to shoot it. As an FYI, they are owned by Beretta now. Most perceive that as a mark against them.
  4. If you tax them and infringe on their 2a rights enough, they will likely leave for PA or such.
  5. The G&H gunsmith shop is at Hudson Farm, but i would call them first.
  6. Griffin & Howe Bernardsville or Andover locations.
  7. Yes...happened to me also. They were very nice and professional.
  8. Get with the future for Pete's sake! http://www.nano-oil.com I've been using it on all my slides and it works well. Cleans up easy.
  9. I'm pretty sure Bob Dunlap cleans all of his firearms in warm water(parts sprayed first with Simple Green). Mind you, they are COMPLETELY disassembled, air dried, and re-lubed. Of course...I could be wrong
  10. Good luck with that. I called everyone I could think of and only got one quote of $1000.
  11. Screws go right through carpet Just send your spouse/gf out for the day.
  12. I don't think you can take the door off most Liberty safes but I may be wrong. I couldn't on mine. I didn't support my stairs underneath but it's not a bad idea. I ended up cutting a 4x8 sheet of plywood in half length wise and screwing them to the stairs to firm a ramp. I then screwed 2x4 pieces at a couple points to catch it. I secured it with long tow ropes and had two muscle heads hold it up top with the ropes wrapped around a 4x4 secured across the doorway. At the bottom i just tilted it up on a furniture dolly to roll it around easily. It worked and nobody was killed. My safe is about 700lbs.
  13. I rented one here: http://www.rentcenterusa.com It wasn't very expensive and I think it can handle 1500lbs. Comes with battery charger and manual lever for lifting edge of safe. I never actually used it, as it scared the bejesus out of me. Just the thought of doing it down my basement stairs that is.
  14. I have coached my kids sports teams for MANY years. A lot of times I'm wearing a "gun" T-shirt when I'm pacing up and down the sidelines and such. I've had many parents come up to me and talk about guns/shooting, and it's always been positive. Hell, one of my favorites is my Sarco shirt with an M-16 across the entire back
  15. I'm on the fence. That's a lot of time to commit when you've got young ins at home.
  16. Dammit! Now I have to use search feature and Google Thanks for the info!
  17. Last question...maybe. What time do these generally end?
  18. By six stages, does that mean you shoot 5 times for your best time, 6 times?
  19. I saw a guy in a movie use a potatoe Not sure if it was Idahoan or Sweet. You'll have to run the ballistics yourself.
  20. Serious skeet/trap shooters have their safety disabled. Just sayin'.
  21. Well, I got to the range with the 686. My dreams of steel glory are shattered. The gun shoots really nice, but I suck. I was hitting a paper plate about 3 outta 6 in SA taking my time.
