  1. 100% AGREE. I give them credit for standing up for what they believe in, but have some dignity while doing it. I saw an episode a while back where they failed to stop one of the ships from killing a whale. Most of the crew proceeded to cry :?
  2. I kind of agree. Illegal Immigrant related news is politically driven as it is a hot button topic right now. With that in mind these "news" stories are not suited for bucket 3 imo. When it is no longer PC to talk about illegal again all these "news" worthy articles will go away.
  3. So that really seems to be the key to a gift. lol no she is not really into guns Thank you everyone for the info. Very informative as usual
  4. So I have been thinking about possibly buying my brother a gift. Now A) I want it to be a surprise and B) we both have FIDs and will both have P2Ps. So I
  5. From Wikipedia: (For those who dont know what a "matricular card" is)
  6. Agreed. Not to be a buzz kill, but the wild west would be cool to visit, but not to live. We take for granted all the conveniences that we have. Even the little things like penicillin for an infection. We have choices today that the old west would kill for. For example what are you going to eat tonight? Mexican, Cuban, Italian, Sushi etc. Average spices we use today where hard to come by back then and were only for the rich.
  7. I completely agree. I am always the first one to walk away from a heated argument right after I punch the wall, leaving a hole that I will have to spackle later
  8. Did the police think that someone would drive to Lowes just to shot himself in the nuts? He could have done that at home and saved on gas
  9. Ok so I tried scanning my prints in different ways last night and here is what I found. First the print reader will still read the print at off angles. So if your finger is flat, but angled to the left or right, it still reads. You can
  10. No I didn't. I honestly never thought about doing that. I will have to try it when I get home.
  11. Pizza Bobs concern is valid imo, because it clearly states hollow nose or dum dum. Even though EFMJ are not considered "hollow point", they may still be considered "dum dum" bullets, depending on the legal definition of "dum dum" bullets.
  12. Good question! My answer would be dependent on whether the wife can carry something. My wife has to carry the baby and she is a handful so....
  13. Easy, the WASR-10 and the .40 XD. Why? Because I only own 3 guns and the Arisaka is not ideal for speed or ammo availability. I guess the one perk to not having many guns is easy decisions
  14. Just to re-affirm what everyone else has said, I belong to a gun club in Upper Black Eddy PA and I shoot my rifles and handgun there all the time. There are also about 20 other members who do the same.
  15. Stuff you know if you have an AK. - Late at night you sometimes have to fight the urge to hold your rifle over your head and shout "Wolverines!" Stuff you know if you have an AR - Late at night you sometimes have to fight the urge to clear your house, slicing the pie from room to room. Stuff you know if you have a Mosin Nagant - Late at night, you sometimes have to fight the urge to dig a fighting trench in the yard to sleep in. lol
  16. that is my understanding of the situation.. pretty straight forward.. NO AK type weapons.. meaning anything with an AK name.. weapons in NJ are banned by NAME.. this is important because that means anything in the list will be a NAME reference.. all illegal... AK-74 AK-101 AK-47 and so on.. if it has AK action it can not be substantially identical as defined by NJ law.. I see so any variant that has an AK name is considered an AK type weapon. One last thing that still puzzles me is that to my (although limited I must admit) knowledge there are no semi-automatic AKs. They are all fully-automatic or selective fire which would still be considered fully-automatic.
  17. I hear what everyone here is saying, however what scares me is that the "Assault Weapon" ban list does not state AK-47, AK-74 ect. I states "Avtomat Kalashnikov type semi-automatic firearms". Who could tell what that actually includes. Could any AK variant be considered an AK type firearm? The full-auto argument in my mind is out the window, because it clearly states semi-automatic.
