  4. My father lives in Sterling, VA and he buys his pistol ammo at Wal-Mart. He said the .40 was only $15-$16 a box of federal. I would imagine that ammo would be in general cheaper store vs store, however if you price shop online and buy military surplus at the gunshows you probably wouldn't do any better.
  5. Yea, it would be best to just call or stop in there and explain the mistake to the detective. For future reference, don
  6. Some friends and I go down to WV every year to go fly-fishing in Monterville, WV. What part of WV are you going to?
  7. As I said in another post my brother was denied hid FID card and won his appeal. I dont know if he has ever had that expunged, but he always gets put on that "temporary hold". The longest it has taken so far was 4 hours. I on the other hand was not denied and I still got put on hold... for 15 mins :? I dont know what was accomplished it 15 mins, but whatever.
  8. Anything can happen in the heat of the moment. With the heart pounding, brain in overdrive and senses on ultra high, who can truly say what they would do. I have this idea in my head that I would only take two shots center mass and then reassess the situation. I would hope two shots of .40 EFMJ would stop any assailant. With that being said I may only take one shot as I
  9. Senior Dossier Specialist for sanofi-aventis Pharmaceuticals. A fancy way of saying I put together submissions/applications sent to the FDA.

  11. I paid $400 for the rifle, 10rd mag, 100 rds of 7.62 x 39 and a few other things.
  12. I leave my XD loaded and chambered in my quick access safe 24/7. I dont see any issue with having a loaded firearm in the house as long as it is properly secured. An unloaded firearm is about as useful as a brick
  13. Looks very nice  Im looking foward to the write-up.

  15. So I met up with my cousin today to buy his WASR-10/63 Double Stack. He is moving to PA on Saturday, so he was happy to sell this to me. It is in great shape as it has only been to the range once in the 3 years he has owned it. P.S. My cousin and my brother both bought one at Sarco and took them to my brothers wood shop to cleanup the furniture. The furniture was sanded down and varithaned.
  16. I guess I will just have to start out with brownie points  . By next week (hopefully) I will be able to add a rifle to the list. Updated: 1) WASR-10/63 w/ double stack mag Brownie Points: A) Homak 6 Gun Cabinet B) GunVault MultiVault Biometric GVB2000

  19. Kind of a limited scope of movies (no pun intended ) I can only think of four: Enemy at the Gates Sniper + sequels Shooter Silent Trigger Out of those Enemy at the gates by far.
  20. I would keep calling them every week for a few more weeks. If by then, if you still cant get an acceptable excuse, then contact a lawyer. I had two wait about 90 days before I got my FPID and 1 handgun permit. If you dont keep on top of them, they will never do it. My brother had the worst experience getting his FPID that I have ever heard of. They delayed him for about 8 months, before he annoyed them enough to deny him based on a restraining order that he had expunged already. Mind you the restraining order was based on a verbal threat, however the PD used that as a history of domestic violence. He hired a lawyer and they filed an appeal, which he won. The Judge ruled that a restraining order does not, in itself, constitute a history of domestic violence. So after thousands of dollars in lawyer fees and over a year later he got his FPID and hand gun permits.
  21. I would also just like to add, since this topic is about "deadly force" the definition of deadly force under 2C:3-11: This is important, because it states very clearly that even firing a warning shot over an intruders head is considered deadly force.
