  1. I am interested in this because something might be coming my way in a few years. I won't be able to live in NJ and have it though.
  2. If they asked me why you were buying a firearm I would say either, because he wants to or because he can.
  3. Oh and if that plate is going to be out far for rifle you dont have to worry about angling it down.
  4. They make a kit to make a sawhorse out of 2x4's. I'd advise that since you are going to be shooting at it. It would suck shooting the legs. If you shoot a 2x4 just replace it.
  5. Why is this thread reverting back to a glock discussion yet again? Get the glock out!
  6. I think I remember talking you into the gun as well as telling you about the D spring mod.
  7. I have a 92 fs in inox. Let me tell you this. Dont believe the hype when it.comes to people saying the 92 can't do this or is too heavy or whatever crap they spew. The 92 is a great all around gun. Can you get something that is more specialized for bullseye accuracy, competition, or ccw? Yes you can. However as a multi purpose weapon the 92 kicks a**. It's accurate, reliable, durable and not susceptible to failure. Parts are inexpensive, and there is a lot of aftermarket things you can get for it. I shot approx 10k rounds thru mine with no problems. I've shot uspsa matches, I've shot steel matches and the gun keeps running. Thats 10k rounds in about 1 years time. Pick the gun up, does it feel good? Do you like it? Then buy it. Dont listen to people who say things about the safety levers or how its double action and blah blah blah. Have they put 10k rounds thru the gun? I have. The safety levers dont just magically engage or disengage. They aren't in the way, and with very little practice you can flick it off in no time. Thats if you even need to engage it. Thats the thing with a DA first shot. It has a little longer and a little harder trigger pull so you can have one in the chamber and still be safe. As for the DA first shot you can overcome that with a little practice. I'm no bullseye shooter but I shot a steel match with a few forum members and I doubt they will say I had problems hitting plates with my first shot. Side note, Ben Stoeger took Nationals in USPSA with a Beretta. The ONLY thing I would say is a drawback is the lack of rail on the front and a removable front sight. Oh wait they solved that by introducing the Beretta 92A1. Same gun as the 92fs with removable front sight and an accessory rail. So thats my mini review of the beretta 92. I typed it on my phone on my lunch break so forgive any errors. Final note, if you do buy it and end up hating it, sell it. Trust me someone will buy it. I might even buy it. Its not like you are forced to keep it.
  8. My cousin was shooting his glock at the cj steel match. 3 times he seated a mag, made ready, drew, and the mag came out. Once was on the draw, the others were after the first shot, they fell right out. He narrowed it down to one mag being the problem. I dont like how the cut out for the mag release button doesnt cut thru the outer plastic and the metal on the inside. When the plastic...i mean space aged polymer wears down they dont seat properly.
  9. Are you now capped at 2.gb? I heard they were going to start doing that
  10. I was on squad 2. Tall dude. 6 foot 6. Was wearing jeans and a black carhart jacket at first, then a grey hooded sweatshirt. I didn't think I shot well at all. It took me 4 stages to get in the groove. I haven't shot much in the past few months. Somehow I pulled out a 16th place finish out of 44. I think the stages were a little more challenging then normal.
  11. I'd hope at the MOST they would charge him with involuntary manslaughter. Then the jury could find him not guilty. However I dont think they should be charged at all. I'd like to be on the jury. To the perp, you wanna play with fire, your gonna get burned.
  12. Skinny people hate the cold. No insulation. In the summer everyone was dying at the uspsa matches, I was fine. I'm solar powered. On my way right now
  13. I just watched a few minutes of each of those videos. Wow secondhand embarrassment. Someone else said it but I gotta give nutnfancy way more credit. That guy is a total douchebag.
  14. Something to think about is that the media isn't like it used to be. You used to have to be able to string sentences together, use proper grammar, entertain and keep peoples attention. It used to be tough to become a bonafide journalist. Now just about any chucklehead with a website or a youtube channel can get a press pass. If you aren't used to this "new" kind of press I could see how it would be irritating. Especially for the old guys like ed brown. I doubt for one second that he realizes how big and how influential the internet has become. I'm also not saying that having people like hickok45 or nutnfancy or even this guy considered press is bad because times have changed but I can see where it would annoy an old timer. The video might be circulating but I doubt its going to impact sales at all. I do agree with maksim that if you take a booth you SHOULD plaster a smile on your face and play nice with everyone. If you aren't going to do that there is no sense in being there. Ed Brown probably shouldn't be there either. However you know what they say, there us no such thing as bad publicity.
