  1. Thanks John I appreciate the kind words.
  2. You will have better luck asking in person than calling asking. Also go to smaller yards you will probably have better luck.
  3. nice meeting you as well. and anytime you have scrap stop in.
  4. i have a few people who buy it from me to cast for reloading, and some who buy to cast fishing weights. i dont reload so im not sure what the going rate is if you buy them cast already or what not. but i could always get scrap lead so let me know if interested.
  5. this is your answer. i will gladly buy your scrap brass. but your better off selling that to a reloader they normally pay a small bit above market pricing on the scrap. and no there is no certain time of year that's better.
  6. yes i buy scrap soft lead, lead batteries, wheel weights ect.
  7. Yes i am in the scrap business. Prices are low, but not as low as they were 3 months ago. At the lowest point some yards stopped paying for steel and light iron but would take it for free. We still payed for it even at the lowest point. something is better than nothing is my though. A big thing is trucking. Not sure how far they must truck it in WNC to get to a mill, port, or shredder. But if its was a long ride to get to one of those it probably wasn't worth trucking it as the price was so low.

    RTSP

I agree. The owner, the people at the counter for the range, the RO's, and most of the people at the gun counter are all above and beyond friendly and helpful at RTSP. I had 1 experience where i had a permit in my hand and wanted to see an fnx .45 tactical there. The guy at the counter was pretty arrogant and rude and it cost them a sale that day. ive been back there and will go back there just will not deal with the same guy there. Im not sure if its because im younger they dont think im serious to buy or what but i had this issue at ottomanellis too, but thats a whole different story.
  10. I did not have to prove it. Submitted claim online and gieco linked me to safelite website and gave all my info. And filled a few things on safelite and done they came the next day. No asking anything just called in the am to confirm time and that's the only person I had to speak to.
  11. Agreed. But again not my problem it's due back in September and I'm not gunna keep fighting for it. Got a letter about a class action settlement that they will cover any work done because of it and cost of oil but must have receipts ect.
  12. it seems thats what it used to be. more recently they said a dollar bill. i just had mine crack with a rock 2 weeks ago. geico covered it except a $50 deductible for comprehensive. if they filling geico covers at no cost.
  13. i have an fns 9 and fnx 45 but no hi power. the grips on those two are completely different. the fns is much skinnier of a grip than the fnx 45. not sure of the grip on a fnx 9mm though.
  14. funny you asked this because i wondered the same the the other day. didnt look to see yet as my container is only about halfway full so i have a few months till then.
  15. Lol. Rtsp is a bit closer. You can see their inventory and prices here, http://store.rtsponline.com/rifles. Ottomanelli is definitely the closest to him. But not sure if he stocks lowers or what not.
  16. Anyone here wanna cut a deal and sell their ff3 they got. before i buy this one? http://www.cabelas.com/product/BURRIS-FASTFIRE-AR-F/2293131.uts?avad=48247_cb41aeee&WT.mc_id=al35987&Subid1=SID&subacctid=35987&subacctname=35987&adname=Custom+Link&adtype=cl&adid=NA&utm_medium=AFF&utm_source=35987&rid=12&WT.tsrc=AFF
  17. yea i have a friend that has a 14 crosstrek and wife has a 2013 legacy, a few friends with impreza's everyone has no problems. But me. oil issue is a known issue but getting a dealer to make good and fix it is the hard part. They refuse to do work claiming burning 1 qt per 1200 miles is normal. since its a lease due back in September im not gunna fight or waste my time trying to get it fixed anymore. I tried a few times with no luck did oil consumption test ect. The trans issue was something minor they fixed. the electric issue is that the power port in the dash has some issues, was burning out car chargers one after the next. It seems to put too much power out, i also used a power inverter after a few broken chargers no more than 3 minutes after i plugged the inverter in it started smoking and i picked it up there was a fire starting in the inverter. the dealer claimed it is not a power port but a cigarette lighter and to not use as a power port. the manual states power port and the is no cigarette lighter with the car. after talking to corporate they said they have never had this issue before and basically gave me a run around that they all have suburus in her office and nobody has that issue so i must be doing something wrong. everyone loves the cars but this 1 lemon i guess lost my trust with them. come september i wont even be test driving a new subaru.
  18. I seem to have the one lemon with subaru. Nothing but issues with a 2014 forester. Glad it's a lease and didn't buy it. Oil consumption issues which they claim is normal, electronic issues, and a trans issue shortly after getting it. Everyone I know loves them and has no problems but me. Prob my bad luck.
  19. not single stack but try a fns 9mm. i have one and like it alot. besides the expensive magazines ive had no issue. not sure on the exact numbers but it feels much skinnier than a glock 19 to me, i have both, might work well for you.
  20. I have a beretta 3901 I got used a few years ago. I think I paid 300 for it. I have no complaints I like it alot. I also have an Remington 1100 that works like a charm. On the other hand I have a s&w 1000 that is nothing but issues. I wouldn't trust it much doesn't cycle sometimes just randomly. The 3901 and 1100 I have had no issues at all with.
